Great content, Chris. It is very reassuring to know that the followers of this channel (and Ash’s) have been ahead of the sartorial curve all along. Let’s hope the trend continues. I have long felt that men’s attire, generally, had reached a nadir. Something had to change for the better; the shame is that the present economic climate (record borrowing costs and energy prices etc,) may impact on the sales take up that the clothing trade desperately needs. Thank you for keeping us up to date and for the effort that clearly went into preparing this presentation.👍

Hi john, it is encouraging to see the high street turning to a more classic look again. This may only be a short respite for classic menswear, but I stay optimistic that it might encourage or reinvigorate people to wearing this look in the continued future. Classic is rarely in or out of fashion as it tends to fit in that middle ground, but I would say whilst I was walking around the amount of positive comments I received on my attire reenforced this leaning people seemed to have towards a more classic style. Some of the smaller independent shop owners asked if I was in the trade and the seemed surprised when I said no. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for your continued support👍🙂

Hi Chris, congratulations on a successful trip to London. You and Ash are great fun to watch and are helping to educate men on how to be well dressed gents. The pajama look has got to go. Glad to hear that it may be starting to fade away. Over here in SoCal it's very rare to see men looking sharp on a casual basis. It's not saying much that compliments follow wherever my wife and I go. People notice and approve. It seems the norm has become so casual that slovenly has become acceptable. Not so much with women, but men have forgotten how to dress themselves to look gentlemanly. I have noticed in urban settings you'll see sport coats and chinos more often, which is encouraging. Presentation is important and to me it seems that men like the look but they just don't know how to pull it off with confidence and control, if at all. That's where you and Ash come in. Your guidance is just what the doctor ordered. Cheers.

Thank you Douglas for your great comments. I think if you ask most women, they would state they make an effort to look good when going out and it makes them feel special when they get positive comments from people. They would probably also say they wish their partner would also make the effort. The irony is that men can be lazy. Jeans, T-shirts, hoodies and trainers are so easy to wear, they don't take much forethought or planning. Great to hear some are trying to break this pattern by wearing a sports jacket and chinos, but there really is no excuse nowadays about being uninformed as there are many KZbin channels out there to learn and gain understanding about pairing ensembles. I know some channels can be a little shouty, or pushing a product or service and Ash and myself have had discussions about that style of delivery/ Our channels take the approach of just having a chat with people and always promoting positiveness. All true indeed. Fortunately, l had a father of sartorial elegance that taught me the ropes from an early age. It was exciting and fun and gave me the appreciation of being well dressed. If not for that, l might have been part of the pajama scene as well. Accepted fashion was my standard look until I reached age 42. It was then I began my journey to sartorial splendor based on my father's teachings. That was 25 years ago. I'm pleased with the results. The feedback is an unexpected bonus. I hope our choice of style rubs off a bit. Cheers

I have always been wearing long rise trousers with pleats and turn ups. Looks like you showed a double breasted camel hair polo coat. I also have that. I had a velvet blazer in the 60's.

Thanks for sharing and that military coat, especially the double breasted look seems to be very popular at the moment, even in the hip and trendy places where the 18-25 years old go were displaying these items🙂👍

Thank Phil, quite a few stores were promoting a colour palette of different hues of chocolate browns, caramels, fawns, tobaccos and toffee. Ash and myself had a great time in London and really enjoyed the meet and greet, we are actively looking into another event so watch this space 🙂👍

Very interesting. Great info. I'm adapting to smarter attire and although shirts are easy to access and they don't vary much, jackets are another story. Yesterday at lunch other than myself there was only one other gent dressed smartly. He had a lovely jacket with 1 item pinned to his lapel. Also at dinner there was 1 chap wearing a lovely jacket. I have learned quite a bit about shoes now but I am still learning about jackets.

Hi there, thanks for your great comment, but the suit is actually a fine black and white Prince of Wales pattern with a blue over check. Having said that at a distance it does appear to be more grey in colour and id say it looks more like a Heather grey as it appears a little darker than a London grey, hope that helps🙂👍
