Hi, is it possible to buy just your substance files without the videos?
@3dextrude3 жыл бұрын
Not currently, videos are included as a compliment.

Hey, love your Videos! I found your channel by searching for tutorials for stylized materials and I have to admit, your channel is by far the best on KZbin. Such good videos deserve support so I subscribed on Patreon. Thank you so much for uploading these videos, they seriously helped me improve my modeling and texturing skills by a lot even though I would still consider myself a beginner. Greetings from Germany!

Thank you for that! Glad these help in some way

Hello, this is a really great tutorial and I have been trying to follow it, however, I am new to substance designer and I am really struggling with trying to figure out how you set up the output nodes as you don't zoom in close enough in the video to see how to set them up. I purchased the full video tutorial and I still can't see how to set up the output nodes. I really have no idea how to set them up ie the uniform colour nodes, what goes into the AO node, basically what goes in where and how because I really don't understand how you did it. Is it possible for you to zoom in a little bit on your output nodes so that it's clearer to see? I would really appreciate it. Thank you, and thanks for the tutorial.

Hi, in the outputs the only custom nodes are a blend node where the height map is connected to the background input and the opacity of the node set to 0. The blend node then connects to a normal, height and an ao output map. On the normal, the normal is set to 10 intensity(sometimes this can change depending on the material, but usually it's set to 10) connect this node to the normal output. The blend node connects to an ao node, the settings on the ao are set depending on the material, but usually for height depth and radius I set it below 0.3. The other outputs are just the regular outputs for basecolor, roughness, metallic. Hope this helps! Wish I could post a pic here on youtube for easier viewing.

@@3dextrude Hello, thank you so much for your response, much appreciated!

@@3dextrude did you convert the blend node to grayscale?,cause I cannot connect the blend node with the normals the connecting line is red
@3dextrude Жыл бұрын
@@nadaart386 the blend node is probably for greyscale since it's a height map that feeds into it. If it's red just do a conversion.

How do you make the waveform become part of the tile sampler node?

Hello. Did you try to put any of your treebark materials on a tree. I think it won't look good as it looks on a sphere
@3dextrude3 жыл бұрын
In the video thumbnail you can see it applied to a cylinder. Personally I think it looks fine. Obviously this is for a more swamp like or almost alien like type of tree.

I'm not sure this is intended to be a tutorial, but rather a workflow overview. You can buy his tutorials and courses on his Gumroad page, in KZbin you can see his works through timelapses, but if you wish to see more in depth content I recommend you to check his gumroad page (also I do recommend you to take a look to StylizedStation's courses too). Edit: BTW, check the description of the video.
