Hi, I was the Zarya in this game (on the Moira's team). Console player. That game was utterly toxic. The flanking Mccree was basically throwing and talking a lot of crap that game. That play where I was too deep and died, I was telling the Reaper to use Death Blossom so that I could bubble him, but he literally refused. He wanted to get POTG on his own. That was some of the best healing I've ever received in a Plat game, but it was the DPS that was off doing their own shit. I will admit, I had some questionable plays trying to mitigate the lack of DPS, as well as the other tank (who by the way wasnt in chat), but that Moira was amazing for Plat. I've since climbed to Diamond, but fell just below 3000.

The whole issue with playing support is that people think its your Job to cover for their bad decisions. I cannot heal stupidity and only mercy can fix dead teammates. This mcree and reaper are such good examples of this.

@@roltol7539 Thats totally wrong. You literally cannot heal stupid. Ana, which is by far the fastest healer currently cannot "outheal" most of the damage in this game. Overwatch is designed to have more damage being done on your team than two healers on your team can support or else the game would be stagnant and no one will win fights. It is your job, for example, as a tank to create space, but also use cover to mitigate damage or take the least amount of damage possible. It is your job as dps to position yourself in a matter such as the enemy cannot just delete you (stay behind tanks, good positioning in the flank, knowing what and when is the best retreat/move forward). It is your job as a healer to stay alive and heal when needed. You CANNOT be a heal bot in this game like you are stating and expect yourself to climb. There is a reason blizzard gave guns and offensive abilities to healers and thats so they can also damage. There are 5 other people on your team, you arent expected to "convert their bad decisions into good ones" on all of them. Of course, by healing or using abilities on them, you would be enabling them, but you cannot possibility do that for the entire team, not even on one person 100% of the time. If you watch ML7 or any top 500 players or pros, healers dont need to focus on healing that much since everyone is doing their job of taking the least amount of damage possible. I see more healing being done on teammates in lower ranks than higher rank gameplay. So yes, you cannot heal dumb plays. If a rein presses shift to pin into a 1v6, no amount of healing can fix this situation (even a bap's lamp will get deleted in seconds) and your rein is dead. If a mcree/reaper is flanking like in this vod and is away from your team and just keeps dying, how the hell are ya gonna heal that.

@@joebestavros You took the words right out of my mouth. I've mostly played support this season (Ana/Bap, 2917, console even though it has shown to be the biggest mistake of my life. I was so close to diamond until recent weeks) and I've always had one teammate(s) who did not understand that I nor the other support, could outheal the stupid decisions they made. Rein/Genji (Without blade/E.S and a teammate or two still respawning) charging into a 1v6 being the best example, screaming at the supports, wondering why they died, and why we're not winning... Tried explaining it to said teammates but it often results in them straight up throwing or leaving (Losing regardless but still surprises me how often people refuse to take criticism, yet happily provides their own "criticism")

I really feel for this player, they seem to be making the right decisions about 80% of the time or more and seeing that McCree/Reaper force them into a 5v6 every fight was quite frustrating. I've been playing support a lot more lately and it's sometimes such a thankless job doing everything you can to keep everybody up and still getting yelled at when your team starts to lose. Feeling trapped with questionable teammates, struggling to make an impact and feeling trapped in your rank while potentially taking verbal abuse on comms is a lot for your mental state to then absorb losses, throwers, smurfs and leavers to grind out games enough to climb.

I hate Paris and Horizon so much. I like playing both sides of the game. I hate the Smurf’s and the throwers, but mostly I hate them because it makes your own team so toxic. ‘KILL THE WIDOW’ look. We have no shields, I just can’t kill the level 30 hard pocketed widow who never misses. Sorry. Yelling at me isn’t going to make it better.

Yeah I remember 4 years ago I got yelled at in team chat for not playing good with genji and never using ult. I was like 12 at the time so I took that toxicity to heart and it ruined playing genji for me for a while. It’s a huge problem with the overwatch community that affects sensitive people

I can't remember who said it but what's helped me balance healing and damage as Moira is to do opposites. Basically when you're gonna need to do damage to get back juice, throw a healing orb first, and vice versa, when you're going to shower your teammates in healing, throw a damage orb.

The mccree eternally flanking for the deadeye is honestly an every match occurrence in diamond/plat. Sometimes they'd hold their first ult and keep getting caught flanking until the round is over. Unlucky matches, but I think this moira will make it out of plat eventually.

As someone who spent a lot of time in the low ranks and I can say for sure that on choke maps like kings row, anubis, hanamura, paris etc... people just won't go past the choke. I still haven't figured out what condition they are actually waiting on. I think some people (even tanks) will only actually push past the choke if they have ult or basically the fight is already won. Instead of saying 'hey, I am going to push in, we will prolly die a few times but we will build ults and then go in big.' They say, 'ok, lets all randomly poke through this one area where all of them are looking, and if someone else pushes through I will watch them die.'

You’re waiting for the enemy to stagger , and catch then out of position. If that doesnt happen, you need to put yourself into dmg zones to be able to give your healers ult charge for the battle -main tank

I don't know. Plat is very, very bad but Diamond is probably even worse. Diamond players all seem to have this ego where they think they are GM which makes it even worse. They also will flame you more for not picking the meta which causes fights before you even leave spawn.

Having been in low bronze to now high diamond, I strongly feel that bronze is by far the most toxic. People blame (which keeps them in bronze) like crazy, and flame for any and all the wrong reasons. As someone who’s spent the last 4 years of Overwatch in plat, yes, yes it is. Edit: I also got 1 too many unironic “go back to the kitchen” comments from people. The highlight of it was when I was a Rein. I was making callouts for where people were and telling my team to stay behind me. One guy literally goes “why should I listen to you? You’re a girl. You shouldn’t even be playing this game. Go make someone a sandwich or something cause everyone knows girls can’t play games.” I wasn’t even doing too bad, and one other guy tried to defend me. The offender just called him a white knight and the rest of the game just devolved into a full blown argument. Safe to say I have successfully avoided talking in comp ever since.

I do feel this player's pain as they launched themself forward to try and kill that Mercy. It was dumb, but I've been in that spot where you watch your team let a 20 HP Mercy run away as they pump 400 DMG into a tank that escapes and gets healed by the two healers who were a few shots away from death, charging the healing ults and leaving nothing dead but your own team. Some of the most important things about Overwatch that seem like common sense, aren't very common. Target priority is super bad with 'self taught' players, especially in console-land. Honestly, the TIPS that pop up that are super useless, should give info like "Don't run as fast as you can from spawn, directly to the cart!" or "Tanks are bigger so they can district your poor aim." or "Don't waste 4000 damage on a shield when there are no targets standing behind it." or "Prioritize shooting healers and dps over tanks whenever you can." I wrote a bunch of these somewhere...

I think this Moira just threw heal orbs so they could dps. Only in hyper critical moments would they heal and throw heal orbs. But by throwing the heal orbs they could dps without worrying about people dying around them. At least that's what I can notice since it was something I sometimes do, especially if I was a main healer. Also the ana was pretty good too at staying alive but I think since Moira kept throwing the heal orbs, ana could have been using a lot more anti's.

The only I see bad is the coal usage like the priority isn't good. The tracking isn't good. Focus on squishies while healing ur team and actually hit them. And don't run into the enemy team with hit. U aren't invincible in coal.

I found gold the most toxic and silver the most annoying. I was a silver healer and was so annoyed at everyone since I was the only one who understood the game(keept it to myself didn’t even give advice because people would see it as toxic) I couldn’t do anything and was stuck but as soon as I got my grip I shot up over 700 sr in a couple of days and still have a 65% percent win percentage after 20 games on a new season soon diamond, buuuut for some reason my dps is still low gold to annoying to wait 10+ min or anywhere between 5-8 with q pass to get a crappy game. it’s fun but annoying to be stuck on low when you see all the painfully mistakes your team make without improving much since I don’t have the time anymore to grind myself out. you get away with so much stupid stuff that bad habits can easily appear to like not paying attention and just go on auto mode randomly spamming and stuff

This match reminds me of one reason why I don't play competitive, I just don't have the reaction time or skill to do it. my skill and reaction time hit a brick wall long ago and I can't get pass the figurative brick wall, so if I was in this game on the defending team then they would have lost in like two minutes. The only thing that annoyed me a bit as a Moira main is that on certain chokes you should be throwing your orbs on flat walls so that they bounce back and forth and get the most value that they can before disappearing whereas this guy throws a damage orb straight into his team and it heals them a little and then just goes flying into nothingness.

Moira main here on platinum 2665 sr best tips for Moira is fast reactions most definitely she is a versatility healer in my opinion- save your abilities and make sure you watch them and use there intellectually I would say am an aggressive Moira player it works when u combo but don’t push to hard I would say potential whoever this player was just ensure u get quicker and your normally aim needs abit of improving

Kinda off the side advice here for this player but it’s something I notice a lot even with Moira mains. There’s a bit of tech with Moira you can exploit for quicker resource gain, that blizzard has never addressed. If you tap attack on enemies instead of holding it, you can gain resource at like 3 times the speed. And it won’t really change your damage output because Moira’s is actually pretty low anyway. It’s also easy to do from a safe distance.

And, like lotteries, most of the time he's just wasting his investment (here: playtime, at corner stores: your own money). I am a batiste, Dv.a main, I have been playing batiste more so lately because he is fun, but I didn't like to play support very often before because I cannot trust my team in pubs to get kills so I end up being the one controlling the fight and getting the most healing and damage in. I average around 25- 35 kills per pub game. and it's honestly a problem.

this is a rare healing moira and he wants to change her buuh, and yes plat is toxic af one moment you are called a try hard because you are trying to coordenate ultis next moment you are called a thrower despite calling enemys at 1 hp and no one folows up despite you having a genji or doom on your team and done 26k dmg, no one shoots shields and refuses to giveup on genji despite playing vs a mcree zarya and moiras. life in plat is a shit show to be honest lol
