One thing I noticed with many of the training videos, not just from stylosa, is how much they overestimate the consistency in low ranks. Imho this is also the reason why it is sometimes super frustrating to climb out of low ranks. Sure eventually you will get out of it, but the rng/luck component is much higher than in higher ranks.

Honestly, it was fine for bronze. Your tanks aren't going to man up and initiate 90% of the time. No one was in need of healing, Mercy had Valk ready to use defensively, and Moira pushing W and Q caused her team to actually engage together and forced the enemy trance, which will build a HECK of a lot slower than coal.

Sty is mad privileged. Anything below Gold, NO ONE PLAYS TOGETHER. Yes, you can only control what you do but considering this is a team game, sometimes it's not your fault. Sometimes that Moira just doesn't want to heal & all the DPS are taking the health packs. I lose 1k SR EVERY SEASON.. I'll place in high Silver & by the end of the season I'm at LEAST high Bronze/ very low silver. This shit ain't new.

If you consistently lose games like that EVERY SEASON; it is very much your fault. Furthermore, that just underlines your own ignorance towards your mistakes, as, despite your SR starting off in Silver and then dropping down as you said EVERY SEASON, you still blame that on your team(Sure, you said "sometimes", but lets be honest here, your semantics point clearly to your team being responsible for at least the majority of your defeats). Yeah, sure, you might get shitty teammates. So will the enemy. Trust me, you're not that one guy who gets all the unlucky RnG results, thats what a lot of players seem to think. Ged rid of that mindset. If you're in silver and lose 1000 SR following up on your placements EVERY SEASON, it's 100% your fault. I know you're in denial now, dreaming of getting into plat if you didnt have such shitty teammates.. yeah, you won't if you keep thinking like that. You're in silver, and you drop, so if anything, you're a shitty teammate for the guys that you place with, cause they have to carry someone who consistently loses SR from the start of EVERY SEASON. I encourage you, if you seek improvement but honestly don't spot your mistakes (which is an entire new problem on its own), to binge coaching videos and streams. It's not like you have no time for that these days. Get out of that mindset of denial. You're evidently a low silver player who belongs in low silver unless you seek to improve. For now, you're just trying to shift it away. That won't help you. Keep yourself in denial or improve. It's your choice.

Hiding behind cart on escort maps works well. Dva also does a pretty good job at stopping him from killing your team. If he positions like the one in this game, you can solo him, if he gets help, you're gonna need help as well. Try talking to your team.

Try to short distance for your team, don't give space to him. I play mostly Rein, if they have Bastion (rare in diamond) I start taking damage with shield and then life, shield, life, shield life, playing with corners/walls/payload/everything so I can recharge my shield and farm my healers ult meanwhile. In low ranks they usually: A) reload A LOT, or B) only reload when they use the entire clip. Pay attention and try to take advantage of this, this give you a few seconds when Bastion is doing nothing, if you still in long range, use the reload animation to firestrike, if is close you can even try to charge and pin (full life only) hope it helps you, it works for me most of the times. English isnt my language, sorry, lol

This'll be a bit of a tl;dr, but bear with me. As a Bastion main in the DPS slot, I find Hog (if he's close enough to hook), Sigma (depending on positioning and cooldowns), Hanzo, Soldier 76, Junkrat (if he got good angles on him), and Zenyatta strong counters. You can throw in D. va, Winston, Genji (if they're aware that Bastion can just stop shooting when they attempt to reflect), Sombra, and Ana, but they need backup to finish him off comfortably. I would probably put Genji at the bottom of the barrel on this one because I've played this duel so many times to comfortably know when they're gonna approach me, reflect, then dash through me. All it takes for me is to stop shooting, then get ready to turn 180 once the reflect animation is done. After that, he's used up all of his cooldowns just to go in hard on me, didn't kill, then now he's eating lead and pushing daisies. Reinhardt is a 50/50. If the Bastion is smart, he'll get out of turret mode when he knows Rein is within charging distance. If Rein is far, the best he can do is take focus and shield as much as he can while the rest of the team deals with him. The rest of the tanks are probably going to get eaten easily by the barrage of bullets, so don't even try. And yes, hugging corners generally helps, but if he's good, he'll use his ears to snuff you out if you're closeby. If you're close and he doesn't know where you are, crouch to get the jump on him. The best people to sneak up on Bastion quickly is Zen cuz... well... he floats and Sombra. Remember: His "head" is on his back when he's in turret mode. If you haven't noticed, I didn't put Pharah in here. Reason being is that all Bastion needs to do to avoid Pharah is learn how to fight out of turret mode. He can snipe her out of the sky just about as well as Soldier 76. For whatever reason, I can land headshots on her easily in recon mode. Bastion isn't a Torb turret. He can only focus on one target in a straight line and within line of sight, and there IS a player behind that metal shell. Psychological warfare is indeed a thing. It's all about killing him enough times to realize that maybe Bastion isn't the right choice and make him switch off. If he does switch off, great! Just have it in the back of your head that he might try again later and be ready for it. One more thing: Bastion has a way to reload quickly and it's to dance between modes. Really good Bastions will switch to Recon mode, relocate, then switch back to reload. I barely hit R to reload when I play him. But, like Smokeguz said, that is the perfect time to jump on him. 16 vs... what...? 300? Anyway, good luck and happy hunting!

The differences is in Plat the Bastion will 9/10 play with his/her shield or at odd angles where its harder to hit it. In Bronze they just expose themselves like a streaker on a football pitch and beg the enemy team to shot them.

I lost a lot of sr once and I'm still losing it. Like 2 seasons ago I finally made it plat (2620) with hanzo but then all of a sudden I just started to lose a lot of games and after a while I just lost all my confidence and went into every game thinking I was going to lose and I did and to top it all off I recently started playing with a friend and he always makes jokes calling me garbage and he says that I play like trash for someone who has 350 hours on hanzo and even though I know he's not totally serious it still really hurts because I know it's true. Like right now I'm 2023 but I hardly feel motivated to play him anymore and I've just become a support player because it's easier, less stressful and I don't have to worry about getting hate messages for doing bad but now a part of me just feels like such a sellout and I want to get better at him again but I don't know.

i am similar with widow but i was never "good" at widow and never climbed with her. She is my most played hero and whenever i decide to play her i just try for like 1-2 pushes and then switch to what im confident will work(a "safe" hero). Like reaper/mei or mcree/soldier cause i know i can do consistent dps with those. In your case i would say hanzo can do reliable dps ever since he got his storm arrows so that should be fine for mid to long range however if you feel like you cant spam down paths and get value, i would suggest going with a "safe" pick like reaper and mei. Both are durable and really annoying to deal with if you stay with your barrier tanks. So whenever i play widow(or in your case hanzo) start with that hero and if it doesnt work in 1-2 fights (before 2 minutes pass) i would switch to the "safe" pick and try to win with that. Even if i had dragonstrike after 2 minutes i would rather switch if i cant land any arrows on my enemies. A reaper who is doing consistent damage to the tanks is much more useful than a hanzo with ult but cant hit targets.(this is in my experience ofcourse, for example if you have a zarya with a grav this doesnt apply).

as you play the game you will start getting "triggered" as i call it. For example even while watching the video, when i heard the zen shoot his orbs i instinctively wanted to look at that direction and shoot. At some point you become so used to it that you will feel this instinct to do stuff even while watching a video. Thats when you know you got the reaction time down. Play until it becomes instinctual to do stuff.

Ngl gold is tough though. Most games after the 1rst point is taken, i have someone leave on my team. Sometimes more than 1. Earlier 3 people left on me after the other team got the 1rst point. And on the other side whenyour winning, youll see that most likely the other team has had a player leave. Sometimes players on the winning team will leave. Another prob with gold is if ur lucky enough to have a full game no one listens to callouts. Thats y we call our tm8s trash. They dont listen and branch off from your teams strategie. Sometimes we will even have an almost perfect ryan support comp and the ryan will change Edit: if your wandering wut i am explaining, i am explaining low ranks in a nutshell

GhostDragon it looks like a mouse with very low sens and they’d probably say they’re a console player on the email, also doesn’t seem to have aim assist so yeah definitely a pc player

He's in Bronze I don't think it matters weather he's using Mouse and Keyboard as he won't have the ability to take advantage of them.
