Cornerstone is such a tasteful album. One of Styx' best.

Awesome 👌 dennis jy and Tommy the best of styx. So grateful for youtube and the wonderful people who shared their experiences with these clips... All that said the story of styx and journey 2 of the biggest, most successful bands from this era are so tragic, so similar, 2 lead singers who shot their bands to rock n roll stardom who couldn't take the pressure and stress of touring. Both perry and deyoung such similar feelings, both controlled their bands, both had innovative ideas their bands were crazy about, and both showed their were a force of nature musically. Truth is for styx, the dennis wrote almost everything that became a hit, dennis in an interview stated that even renegade, Tommy big hit was brought in as some acoustic country tune when Tommy sang it and dennis said you need to turn that up, put some rock in there, this is an outlaw, he is desperate, play it like that.... now you got the version we heard. Same with journey, perry wrote don't stop believin, Jon Caine only came up with a title, perry wrote out the lyrics and even telling Neal to play guitar like a train. Note both of these singers went to court and their bands wish to go on without them. Styx finally reached an agreement, Tommy and jy tour as styx, dennis performs as styx the musical experience I think 🤔 Journeys final settlement has yet to be decided but perry does get 12 percent of everything Neal and Jon make touring as journey. Neal is currently trade marking popular journey hit while Steve is suing him. Will it every end?

Journey had hits before 'Don't Stop Believin'. 'Wheel in The Sky' was written by former vocalist Robert Fleischmann and Diane Valory, Ross Valory's wife at the time.
