@НАТО в шоке, США обосрались In short, yes. Growling just did a video on what would happen if a bunch of Russian Bears launched an attack on an aircraft carrier group. The F-14 Tomcats used their Phoenix Missiles to shoot down the anti-ship missiles. But the Pheonix was designed to do this for cruise missile sized munitions. I doubt you'll be able to find many examples of missiles being shot with other air to air launched missiles, though happy to be corrected.

There are two big problems with the su30mki. The first is reliability issues, Indian su30mki's have had a high failure rate for a long time, and they may not take off at all when you need them. The second problem is that the radar is lagging behind. The su30mki uses a passive phased array radar, which relies on huge volume and weight to improve its performance. Even so, the su30mki radar cannot be compared with other commonly equipped active phased array radars. Radar compared to fighter jets.

JF17 can give the F16 a tough fight if flown correctly. I did a few 1 v 1 with a buddy of mine who is a real aerobatics pilot and it was quite even. JF17 has to trick the F16 to a slow roller fight and use it rudder authority to get nose on. At fights over 380 knots, F16 eats everything for lunch without burping
@Blackbirdz20002 жыл бұрын
Even without the new update, F16 was always an aircraft u could bet on. The only way for JF17 to win is to take the fight to slow speeds. But for that it has to first survive f16 onslaught, specially its initial 180 degree turn. If i were in f16, i would go full afterburner loops against it. And never go or allow the fight to go long enough where i loose energy enough to force me into slow speed encounter. All the while taking advantage of my instantaneous 180 degree turn.

@GrowlingSidewinder2 жыл бұрын
Correct they use the measurements that are native to them
@marsdeimos43012 жыл бұрын
Many countries from former eastern bloc that have later joined NATO and kept operating Soviet aircraft had to replace original instruments graded in (kilo)meters with new ones graded in knots, nautical miles and feet to conform with NATO standards. It's kinda silly considering that the ground forces of USA have been using kilometers for distance since 1918, but aviation (including civil) and navy is stuck with this clusterfvck of knots for speed, feet for altitude and pounds for weight, however if you ever listen to airband radio, in aviation weather reports (ATIS, VOLMET), you'll get temperature and dew point in Celsius, distance visibility in kilometers or statute miles, atmospheric pressure in hectopascals, cloud cover altitude in feet, and wind speed in knots. Fun, right?
@tobiasfreitag21822 жыл бұрын
@@marsdeimos4301 the reason knots and nautical Mile is used, is simply because a NM is equal to a Minute ( ' = 1/60 of a °) on a Meridiane. It by that is very well siuted for the use in Navigation in maps and enable you to mesure distances with relativ ease.
@marsdeimos43012 жыл бұрын
@@tobiasfreitag2182 true, but in age of radar, GPS, DME, IFR and whatnot, the validity of this argument is somewhat diminished. Also the Earth is not perfectly spherical, so when moving along the meridiane, angular velocity of 1 MoA per hour will result in speed of more than 1 knot when closer to equator, and less than 1 knot when closer to north or south pole.

I have a question. At 4:25 you started to engage targets and firing fox-3's. You fired several missiles on different targets and broke lock with previous target in order to fire a missile on the next target. Here's what I'm interested about. As you lock your next target you break lock with your previous target, how is it possible that the missile for previous target doesn't go stupid since you are no longer tracking the previous target and the missile is clearly far from being capable to home itself? Does the missile have some sort of trajectory stored in the memory so it can steer itself to where the target would be from initial lock until it's able to track the target? Or can the aircraft track several target at once?

as soon as you break the lock the missile goes pitbull and flies forward looking for something to hit, anything. In real life the Flanker is capable of tracking multiple targets in DCS they can't do it due to some limitations. I also talk about all of that stuff in the tacview.

I seriously doubt youd be able to eject in a spin like that, the instant onset of 20 rotational G's....nighty night.

Ya I agree actually and that’s what’s scary about that stuff even if you survive the missile impact there is no guarantee you’re gonna be able to punch out

@@GrowlingSidewinder Could we see a reliable, low-false alarm, auto-ejection system in future jets? I mean the pilot might not be in the optimal posture if he is out and the auto-ejection kicks in, but maybe there is some work around for that too? Like a function built into the G-suit that reels the pilot into the correct posture when auto-ejection is about to go off?

Why dude? They have literally shot down a F-16 with a Mig-21. They don't need anyone. Pak will lose even if they got the F-22, if they could afford it in the first place. IAF is on top.

Can someone explain why the Modern Russian aircrafts have that characteristic blue flame, while anything else, for eg., the hornet, the rafale, the F16 don't?
@siddharthsahu71232 жыл бұрын
I think the temperature of flames affects the color and the metals/material used in Afterburner/engine affect the colour of flames. But not 100% sure.
