Brother, dont dispair believe it or not most shooters are still interested in viewing your adventures, because we relate to your experiences, weve all been there mate. I run an Alpex 4k lrf. on the AGT Vixen off of a Bog Deathgrip. Last month i got set up , checked zero, to find the poa wasnt match the poi. so 2 mags later i found the poi started to match the poa. Then half an hour later im stood in a hedge freezing my ging gangs off, I lock onto a rabbit. 32 yards side profile , easy shot . So i bring the poa up to the rabbits sweet spot. squeeze the trigger, and put a hole through the tips of each ear. These things happen to us all. this is a great video, well commented on and explained. next video please . shust wait till the cold front passes. stay safe Brother. You wil get where your wanting to be, just dont be down on yourself while getting there. PMA, all the way .ok.

@@BarrieCopeland-je6lh Thank you for your comment, that's a nice set up you've got. I won't despair I still post the unsuccessful videos to show the reality of what shooting can be like it's not always text book success in the real world. There are plenty more videos in the pipeline 👍🇬🇧👍

Great video. Agreed the point of impact does drop for pcp’s with extreme temperature drop, as for the content of this video it shows the true reality of what happens when things dont go to plan, I personally prefer watching content like this, thats genuine over stuff that scripted & edited to look text book.. i usually switch off videos with digital scopes & range finders especially with those showing pre determined aim points, my personal opinion is the industry is dumbing down shooters ability to learn things for themselves without cost/convenience of technology, dont get me wrong technology is a great tool to be used but its sad to see most influencers starting to rely on them making people feel its the only way to get results. Keep the videos coming :)

@@charlieriddock2531 Thank you for your comment. Yes cold weather definitely affects them I'm going to do a video on it soon. I always film everything in the real world, I think without naming any there are some bigger channels out there who are guilty of shooting a permission every night for 2 weeks and then editing it all together to make it look like 1 nights shooting. I also agree with technology taking away the skill especially with people using ballistics calculator type digital scopes I think it takes away the want or need to learn the rifles trajectory curve and learn hold over/under. I'll certainly keep the videos coming. 👍🇬🇧👍

Brother its real, poi shift is a pain. ive stopped shooting just now, due to the cold. exactly as its happening here with your gun, happened to myself a month ago. its good for those not aware of temps having an effect on there guns, to see it. The temp effects the weight of the air in the bottle, so it tends to give a 2inch drop at 40 yards, just under an inch at 30 yards.Beyond 50 you can only hope you hit the target. The Hw 100s are very prone to poi shifr as are the BSAs. You could try keeping the gun warm before use . but it quickly cools down. That said if you keep putting rounds through the barrel the gun will warm up, the poi will improve. Though that no good if your stalking for a few minutes, because again the gun gets cold.

@@OutdoorsBritain Its very obvious in HW barrels, and BSA, the temp effects. Great idea. It also effects the dry air in the in bottle .Looking forwar to watching the video.

@OutdoorsBritain I had the pard 008p and it's def got ballistic calculated as its got the lrf.if memory serves me correct you gotta press the button again for the mark to come up ok your cross hairs.. Are you anywhere near south Devon?

@OutdoorsBritain does your pard say nv?also on the pard it had a red lazer that's disconnected easy enough job to connect it. I know there is several pards, the newer 1 was the 008s 1 I had was before the s which had lrf like yours has but mine would give me a mark on the cross hairs. If your local to south Devon I can take you out on a nights ratting using my bsa 12 with hik alpex 4k lrf on it

@@OutdoorsBritainjust looked it up your correct it has a lrf and splash point but no mark for cross hairs that don't make sense as the lrf is the lazer range finder.v strange

@@Howie75 Thank you for your replies, for a digital night vision scope with a built in ballistics calculator to be able to tell you how much hold over or hold under to use you have to input all the data it needs to calculate the ballistics for example exact pellet weight exact rifle power barrel twist rate exact hight of scope etc. mine definitely doesn't do any of that, I bought mine way before Pard started incorporating ballistics calculators in their scopes. Thank you for the offer but South Devon is a bit far for me, I'm in East Sussex/Kent. 👍🇬🇧👍

@@johnfiore9390 Thank you for your comment. The green bag is a very early respirator pouch from a set of early army plce webbing. Iv had it over 20 years, You could probably find one online if you looked about but I also have a similar DPM British army s6 respirator pouch which I use as my game bag, there is plenty about on the internet. 👍🇬🇧👍

The brutal truth behind rifles and hunting. No need to have "fake" successful shots for click baits and medals like too many do for various things these days. People are too afraid to speak the truth and be raw. If you can't be raw nothing is authentic. Good video 🇬🇧
