Excellent vidéo, I'd been given the impression the micro ajuster did just that, give tiny adjustments, and the bigger rotary wheel did the main ajusments.. Now I can see its actual function and how the smaller thumbwheel is the real power ajuster. Thank-you for the clarification on its correct function and how to do this modification if required.

Thanks for all your videos, wish it was about 5 months ago when I fitted my QT assembly would have saved me some fiddling. confused by you mentioning a ball bearing under D65 to fix X3-1 there was not one in my parts list/diags just the Dog point grub screw M3x5. Also secured mine by removing the thumbwheel grubscrew, after adjustment, instead of a locking collar.

Thanks, looked again on the FX parts diagram you are right I couldn't zoom in on the mobile and saw D66, I though at the time a ball bearing was a poor choice, but good catch, I was going to remove the grub screw on the thumb wheel but if you need a half rotation its a bit of a pain to get to the grub screw, but thanks for watching.

Thanks for your time and knowledge good video, one question would this be legal as a sub 12 for a none licence older like if the police checked the rifle
@sub12airgunners2 жыл бұрын
The way we see it, the rifle needs an Allen key to adjust the power at the moment (without the quick tune fitted), that seems fine as they are sold without issue, when fitting the quick tune wheel it does away with the need for the Allen key, this is a no no as its classed as easily adjustable. The purpose of the lock is so you can't adjust the power without the use of an Allen key, just like the original system, since the rifle can't be adjusted without the use of additional tools its not classed as easily adjustable and falls under the same category as the original system. Thanks for watching

Hi, thank you for sharing your knowledge. I had an issue fitting this straight off. The adjustment guide shuttle screw was ridiculously tight and even though using top quality Wera tool it rounded the screw head. I’ve returned the gun to sportsman gun who are sorting it for me. Only just got the M3 so didn’t want to try a screw extraction. Any advice when a small screw is so incredible locked tight?
@sub12airgunners2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately the screw is covered in loctite so the only way to break it is to heat the piece up, this breaks the loctite and allows the removal of the screw, Thanks for watching.

That little lock is good for the adjuster. Once you’ve set the rifle up at it’s most efficient and best fps lock it up so you can’t inadvertently adjust by accident. Few questions for you being highly experienced with these (and other) pcp’s. 1. And this is the big question! What’s your most accurate rifle and what grouping are you getting at what distances? 2. For further distance shooting do you dial up to aim straight at or do you hold over/use dots? 3. What’s your favourite scope and why? Was testing a .22LR today in the wind at 130 yards, was holding off 1.25 mil dot for wind (10x zoom) and 4 mil dots over and was getting a golf ball sized group with 5 bullets. I thought that was pretty decent in that wind.
@sub12airgunners3 жыл бұрын
Most of my shooting is done at 50 yards and my most accurate rifle is the .177 Redwolf, best ever 5 shot group with it was 6.25mm edge to edge at 50 yards (indoors), that was with sorted pellets though, but it will do consistently good groups. I only really shoot at longer distances in the summer when we can use the outdoor range (70 yards) and I normally just zero at 50 yards and hold over, my favorite scope that I own is the element Titan, but my favorite scope I have looked through would be the Zeiss V8 4.8-35, a dream scope but so clear and bright. Doing well for a .22lr in wind, I have had a go with .22lr but never at long ranges, maybe if I go for my FAC ill give it a go. Thanks for watching.
@iantcroft3 жыл бұрын
@@sub12airgunners That’s an impressive group at 50yds with a sub12 rifle! I’ve not tried an indoor range for a while, I used to work at an airgun centre which had one years ago. Interesting to hear the Titan is a favourite, is it the clarity, reticle of build quality? Is if 24x mag? I saw you had a built in camera scope (not sure of the name!) my father has the fac but I have been using it with him since I was about 14, over 28 years ago now and I have just got my own fac so looking at which pcp scope and mod to get. I think I’m not too far from you if you need some longer distance outdoor testing in the breeze, will have the .22lr and also pcp (when I’ve decided which one) to try as well.

Having bought a kit from B&K plus one of your locks, I tried to fit it today and failed. My hammer-spring shuttle doesn't have a visible retaining screw and has a short threaded shaft through it. Do you think this is enhanced anti-tamper?
@sub12airgunners2 жыл бұрын
The short threaded rod is the hammer spring adjuster screw, you need to remove that and there should be a screw under it, that's what locks the shuttle to the adjuster, remove those bits then you can just follow the video to reinstall it. Thanks for watching

I'm probably missing the point here. I am very interested in fitting this to my Mk3, but how do I stand legally, as mine is sub 12, as this gives you the ability to potentially push you over 12, does fitting it make the gun FAC by default??? I just don't want to fall foul of the law, especially the way things are at the moment in the shooting community. Great videos BTW.
@sub12airgunners2 жыл бұрын
The idea of this is that the hammer spring is adjusted but an Allen key at the moment and that's fine because technically its not easily adjustable because it requires the use of additional tools, however its fiddly and a little awkward to do, the thumb adjuster is much easier to use and more convenient, but because it does not require any additional tools to adjust its considered easily adjustable over 12lb/ft, this is where the lock comes in, the lock still requires an additional tool to unlock the hammer spring adjuster, so you gain the adjust ability of the thumb wheel whilst still being able to lock the power off so you can't adjust it without additional tools. You can unlock the thumb wheel adjust your hammer spring to where you want it (
