Engineer Jason Fenske (not a race car driver) posted a time even faster than that in a Sapphire that had already made about ten runs that day. The Sapphire is simply amazing. For the price it should be, but Lucid makes a wide range of trim levels down to less than 1/3 that price. Best car made and their SUV gets revealed next week. Excited to see what this engineering-forward company can do!

I work at a medical office. One of our patients I've developed a relationship over the years with, owned tuned Audis, AMG's and currently owns a Plaid. We're both gearheads, but he knows I'm a super car dork. During his last visit, he asked if their was a new king of super sedans basically, that he should purchase. I told him there was one. The Sapphire should be the new ultimate, I told him. He's in the room w the doctor for no more than ten mins, and when he leaves, he tells me he had just ordered it. I will be getting a ride in the car and I can't freakin wait.

@@Grand_Priest_Goku Well when it comes to racing no one cares about who's modified and who's stock. It's just who's the fastest and can put the power to the ground. This is how it goes when dealing with people who race street cars, no one is stock lol. Reasonable potential is the game. As for going 235mph no one cares about going that fast either because realistically you're not going to achieve that speed anywhere unless you're driving a 2000hp car that can get there in 10 seconds or less and it's way too dangerous to top a car out unless it's at a place designed for that which most places especially a highway or street aren't. The reason why these cars are as fast as they are is mainly because of the amount of power they're making, not because they're electric so don't confuse the two. It's not like "Oh this car is electric and the other is not so it's going to win for sure" lol.

All of these ridiculously fast electric cars need to have a speed governor, but if not then a full roll cage and an emergency electric cutoff switch just as real drag-race cars do when they go faster then 12.00 in a controlled 1/4 mile, and also mandatory helmets if they are going to be sold to the general public at large... Why aren't people shouting this from the rooftops??? How many unreported fatalities have to stack up with inexperienced drivers before this is done??? Is it because the narrative is to push electric??? These companies need to be put in check... At least Ford has some common sense and puts a speed governor on their Mach-e.
