That Ducati sounds nice, looks nice and goes well but I think I would choose the Royal Enfield to ride more often. The Enfield is just a basic honest bike priced where your average guy can afford and it looks good. Guess TMF should feel highly honoured getting a go on the VFR.

I'm really glad he enjoyed it. Safe to say he's ridden almost all bikes on the road, so was a high praise coming from him. Top bloke, and we had a bloody good laugh! I tend to agree about the RE. I really loved that. The Panigale - although insanely beautiful - is not the comfiest bike to ride. That RE is bloody lovely. Like you say, a good, honest bike.

Thanks Rich. The sounds that the RE makes are way above it’s price point. But the Panigale...listening to you push it into the top half of the rev range was making me all tingly! Also liked how your camera never picked up the dash, no need to blur anything in post! Thanks for sharing your day sir, and thanks to TMF for letting you have a go with his toys! Peace!

Hi Rich, like you with the VFR, I have a Ducati 748 which I have owned for 20 years, I will never part with it, puts a massive grin on my face every time I ride it, would love an 899 to keep it company, my wife tells me I will have to sell another bike to get it though, they just don't understand lol

The Royal Enfield does sound great with those aftermarket pipes on it, normally can sound a bit agricultural. Very usable bike by all accounts, much buffeting given the lack of screen? The Panigale is a different animal all together, that change of note under acceleration is crazy.

There's something about the sound of Ducati twins that just doesn't sit right with me. Love the look of them, test rode a couple and loved the way they rode.....just can't stand the sound of them. Especially at low revs.
