Subaru Impreza GC8 Type R (heavily modified, wide arch, big bhp, 2 door)

A very quick video of the Impreza before it went for fresh paint and tweaks for the 2020 season.

As a Honda guy myself, it's sad to see so little gc8s in the subaru community. Old but gold. Favorite Impreza body imo. The eg hatch hits the same notes in the Honda community.

💯 bro your right it’s the best looking and probably best sounding imo and fun asfff to drive I own a 99 Impreza and when you drive your pretty connected to the road and the car you can’t beat an old authentic experience like that you can’t get It in new cars these days.. the old Hondas are the same.. really 80s 90s and early 00s is where it’s at 🔥👌🏽

I am a Honda guy as well. But I also have an Acura CLS 6sp, a 4dr Accord v6 6sp (red badge,) and a 1G Mitsu Eclipse GSX AWD. But right now the project is my 2001 Impreza RS2.5 coupe . I plan on swapping the ej207 w 6sp tranny. I know it may be expensive but NOTHING feels like my Subaru. it feels like the perfect car...just underpowered. I'm gonna fix that too. But to get in this game, you gotta have a real passion for cars. My cars are like my kids. ..always needing something and I can't ignore them because it hurts me as well . I have the last year 2.5 RS (USA model) and I'm gonna hold on to it. Even when the suspension is bad, it handles good.

@@deathtoming2201 Only thing that compared to my 99 impreza was my 99 miata. The miata is definately tighter, but they both give immense joy when driving them near the limit. The impreza beats out the miata overall in my eyes though, more practical and off road capable. I took my miata on some fire roads, and boy was it fun but the paint work and struts HATED IT

@@Alniemi ah yes I actually respect you for testing the miata limits off-road 😁 but yes overall those cars are gems in my eyes.. I learnt pretty much everything in that car because it being so forgiving and you have to push it to its limits to enjoy and that’s where you can play with the car more and learn everything that goes into driving fast or slow. Like the famous man said if in doubt flat out!

Yes and no! Plans for a smaller wheel (dropping from 18s to 17s) to get a firmer and taller sidewall on some semi slicks. Limited on brand of wheel due to the ridiculous front brakes!
