I had FP Green peaking at 35-36 psi. It was amazing until tuner said it is not safe and turned down to 27 psi - 450whp/wtq.

Thats what I'm shooting for with an FP green. Area doesn't have E unfortunately. So I have to settle for 91 or 93, hoping to see between 400-450

I just bought a wagon with ej257 bottom end and stock heads with a fp green turbo on it. It’s turned down to 12psi making 280whp. Would I need a closed deck block or would just pistons and rods do the trick. Also open to recommendations for fuel system to support that. My goal is to hit 21-23 psi. Thanks.

I mean this is on a bone stock motor and it survived the 32psi hits on repeat for a long time. It wasn't until we put on the big PT6870 and turned it up to 43psi that it broke a rod. Not saying stock EJs should be relied on to handle 500whp without forged internals but it can be done. I'd start with a fuel system for sure. ID1700s, dual 450 or 525 pumps, stock feed lines from tank to engine bay will be fine, fuel pressure regulator and larger lines and rails on the motor. My 2 cents on the motor would be run it till its an issue and save for a nice closed deck motor so you have room to grow in the future.

That’s crazy because I have fp green and maxing it out at 40 pounds and I make 550whp. And I have fully built motor. I would love to see the dyno sheet on this. Making 550 to wheels at 32 pounds of boost. Never heard of it.

Currently this car has a PT6870 with dual walbro 525s and ID2600s, making over 920whp at 43psi. In this video I was running ID1700s, dual 525s (450s would also provide plenty of fuel), -8 feed lines and -6 returns, ETS V2 header, PLM Up-pipe, Turbo XS catless down-pipe, Tial 44mm EWG, stock intake manifold, ETS 3.5" FMIC, aeromotive FPR, flex fuel, fuel pressure, ACT clutch, colder NGK plugs gapped at .023, those are basics at least. @@dylan_lewis9309 basically all mods I have. Plan on running a 93 map and E85 map. Want around 450whp on 93 and around 500whp on E85. I’m Sure 30 psi will get me there.

Also make sure you have power goals in mind that make sense for what you use the car for. Like if you enjoy going canyon runs 450 is probably a good stopping point imo

I honestly don't know and I'm running a rotated setup now so I don't have a way to check. Is there a reason you want to keep your TGV's?

Just finished my FP Green (84 comp cover) build on my STI. Stock TGVs and Stock intake mani with Killer B 84mm hard inlet. Its a super tight fit, but yes it can be done.

@@josiahayala3501 no fcking way. Even FP website says you must run TGVs deletes on 84mm. Btw I'm also planning to run KB hard inlet. Can you upload a short video on KZbin just to see the tight Fitment 👀

Not sure what grinding sound you are talking about...are you referring the the wastegate duty cycle dumping air out the dump tube?

I don't think so maybe he has his foot resting on the gas pedal as he shifts..when he puts the clutch in its slightly blipping the Throttle

My old set up was an FP black and at 28 psi. Now I’m rotated so more boost

Rotated is totally the way to go. I'm running a PT6870 now. So much easier to work on than the stock location turbos.

@@dylan_lewis9309 oh for sure and that’s a big turbo I was going to go that route but mine is completely redone everything to include porting the heads and cams etc.. but then it was hard to find the 6466 I wanted to I had to go with 6266. It’s so much easier to mess with the wastegate like this for sure

@@E85_STI Very nice man! I ran a PT6262 for a little while. I'm running an Outfront V4 Racer+ short block with ported N25 heads and BC280 cams, oversized valves etc. Its actually on BAT right now. Time to feed my sport bike addiction.

@@dylan_lewis9309 hell yeah man so since you are running out front I’m sure you know who Bader is right? I’m on BC272 cams and stainless steel internals +1mm and all that jazz but an IAG stage 2.5 closed deck with Athena head gaskets. Bader made 900 on a stock EJ block non RA it was crazy

@@E85_STI Yeah man, hes my tuner. We blew up the stock motor with the same PT6870 right around 900whp. I had the built motor on standby. I've used other tuners but with these cars he is definitely the best.

I'm honestly not sure, we never did any power pulls on pump gas. These cars really like higher octane if you are gonna increase the boost at all. It's setup on flexfuel but only for emergencies.

I use Taylord Tuning, couldn't give him a bigger recommendation. We have made a lot of changes to the car in the last few months and I'm just about to shove a PT 6870 in it for him to tune. Then we are going to try BC 280 cams on the stock bottom end and see what happens.

@@dylan_lewis9309 Nice!! I’m getting rdy to trade in my fa WRX for a 2019+ STI, and this is around the power range I wanna target. About 500whp. How long did it last while on stock internals?? Or did you redo the build before it ever got to that point? Also I assume you’re using an AP here, but switched to a Standalone ECU for the big build??

@@peeposadboy I had Bader tune the car for me and we ended up blowing the stock motor at 40psi with the 6870. I think I had a rod bearing starting to go out with the FP Green anyway. These motors really wont last long past 400whp to be completely honest. You'd be best served picking up a motor that is rated for the power you want. Keep an eye on Prime Motoring, they often sell used, low mileage IAG motors that are fully inspected. We used an AP all along, never switch to a stand alone ECU. There are some tuners who can still tune with the AP without Cobb's project "Green Bullshit" getting in the way.

I think somethings up with your clutch, it cant hold the power and it slips at the end when u use the pedal. Thats why u hear the rev sound before each gear change. It slips a little bit.

No that's the flat foot shifting. The clutch was a brand new ACT XT in this video.

Kind of a complicated question. On the AWD dynocom it made 440whp at 24psi, on the virtual dynojet it made 484 at the same boost. We turned it up to 27psi and it made 530whp on the virtual dynoject but now we are running 32psi and I have not gotten back the virtual dyno yet. Stay tuned and I will let you know in another video once we find out what this tune is laying down! I will also be taking it to the track soon too and backing up these numbers with some trap speeds.

@@gcjproductions9380 it was stock location but I just installed the ETS rotated kit and picked up 2 60 series turbos to try, 6262 and 6870.

The dyno didn't lie. However this car is now a PT6870 car with a fully built motor and makes 903/731 at 48psi and revs to 9300. Have you built an FP Green or FP Black car? Or a PT6262 or PT6466 or PT6870....cause I have and I've dyno'd them all.

Basics are: RA Motor FP Green UHF ID 1700cc Walbro 450 Flex Fuel ETS Exhaust/header PLM EWG Up-Pipe 44mm Tial EWG IAG Fuel line and rails Bunch of suspension mods etc. Getting ready to put in a rotated 6870 though.

Was the FP Green a 60 mm 2.4 inlet?

@@Charlie589 Yes it was the stock size inlet. I would recommend getting the Bader hard inlet and going speed density if you stay stock location. I'm not sure what sizes he offers for the hard inlet pipe though.

@@ricardolee461 We've had 3 engine combinations, 4 turbo setups, and 3 fuel systems in this car and each one of them ran on the dyno. But you are welcome to your opinion, not gonna fault ya for that. Car is currently at 919whp/731wtq with a 6870, and ID2600 injectors. Have you built any 500+ wheel horsepower Subarus? Not hating, just curious?

@@dylan_lewis9309 I’m just going off experience just because you have a high hp car don’t mean that it’s fast depending on the tune of the car because I no cars of myself that’s pushing power more harder at 450 hp than your 551 check bader sti on KZbin he has a 600 hp sti on stock block pushing harder like a 800 hp car I was neck to neck with hellcat in my 2018 sti running stage 2 at 450 on stock stock turbo but like I said it depends on your tuner because a good tune pushing 400hp can beat a 500hp car
