Subdural vs Epidural Hematoma/Hemorrhage [CT Scan Findings]

Subdural and epidural hematomas are abnormal collections of blood or hemorrhages whose location can be seen on CT scan or MRI of the brain or head. Symptoms and signs may include headache, altered mental status, and neurology complaints to name a few.
Subdural hematomas are located between the dura mater and arachnoid, and epidural hematomas are located between the skull and dura mater.
Subdural and epidural hematomas can be caused by trauma to the bridging veins or middle meningeal artery respectively. This may lead to the pathophysiology and development of an intracranial hemorrhage around the dura and/or arachnoid.

Is it normal if you still have a bit of a head ache after a motorcycle accident? The neuro surgeon already checked the ct scan and it she said that i dont need any surgery. Im still having a head ache its more like a migraine. Is it normal?

I searched up this because im worried. I got into a vehicular accident and was sent to the hospital. they did an xray on the places they suspected an injury would be and found nothing. after that i was discharged. the thing is ..the top right side of my head feels numb ever since the accident and i dont know what is causing it. im 15 and the accident was 3-4 months ago( I think). my head is still numb and i dont know if i should be worried or not

I had both a subdural and epidural hematoma after a severe TBI, and had to be put into a coma and have emergency brain surgery or would have died. If you went to the hospital and they told you you don’t need surgery, you’re going to be ok.
