My brother bought me the sublime self title in Charleston SC in 1996. All I can see in my head is the photo of Bradley singing to Jakob with his acoustic on the inside of the CD case. A very special moment. His father is very proud.

wow this is great...sublime was my favorite band in high school, even got a 40 oz to freedom tat but i stopped listening to them when rome came into the picture because it just wasnt the same....but this is just amazing. really captures the essence of Bradley and sublime perfectly. feel like this dudes whole life was leading up to this moment where he fulfills his destiny and fills his fathers long missed shoes

I grew up on sublime and loved them so much. I never really listened to sublime with Rome. He was good though, but when Jacob became a frontman for sublime, I got the chance to see them at Huntington Beach the first day of the U.S. Open surfing competition .it was an awesome show.

Man now this is a show I would pay good money to see. I never got to see the original band but I did see the first tour with Rome back in 2010 and don’t get me wrong he’s done a great job this past decade but now that Jakob is older and clearly talented enough to take on the role it should 100% go to him if he wants it. He sounds just like his dad it blows my mind. Maybe they could keep rome as second guitar like the guy in this video although I wonder why they didn’t just use him for this. Either way sublime was the soundtrack to my high school years and this is the closest we will ever be to seeing them live in the modern day. Hoping we get a tour with Jakob ❤

I was born a few months after Bradley died and it always killed me that I’d never get to hear my favorite artist in person. Seeing this makes me so happy and I sure hope I get the chance to see Jakob, bud and Eric! Jakob has such a unique and prosperous voice. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree :)
