I have to agree about the feeling of staring into the abyss. It used to make me really antsy when I was traversing shallow waters but saw only deep water below and no ocean floor, such as when going to and from the floating island. Subnautica is one of my favorite games. I think I'm on my fourth playthrough now.

I'd like to add on that as far as any "game-breaking" bugs go, like the one you experienced, there *IS* an option to turn on console commands that can be a life saver in these instances. Say you're plummeting deeper and deeper beliw the map, you're about 4000m deep: instead of quitting, you can then warp to a specific location or distance in order to correct the bug. This detail ended up helping me a LOT in my first playthrough, as I'd played for over two hours without remembering to save my game, only to glitch inside of the walls of the Aurora and be unable to escape. To fix this, I only needed to enter a warp command, and yay, problem solved. 👌 I was saved from having to redo everything up to the point I became stuck. So, while the glitches being as common as they are _can_ be extremely annoying, it's usually easily possible to get yourself out of them.

@@MarkGFL That's one of the major appeals of survival games: they present you with a problem and some tools and leave room to invent uses for them. You might also like to know that I've experienced the floor glitch on console. My Prawn Suit fell through the floor of the Emperor's tank. The only recovery was to revert to my last save. I've come to the conclusion that "Subnautica" is an Experience masquerading as a mere Game. Thalassophobic (fear of bodies of water/murky water) players have gone from "scared of everything" to "Another Stalker is attacking me? What a bother." A number of such folk have built above-the-water bases with interesting results. Others have been petrified by "The Ramp of Doom" that takes you into the wreck of the "Aurora," and the hostile sea creatures seeing you as dinner. By the time they are searching for Nickel ore and Kyanite, the tale has become intriguing as well as scary. It's a "long, strange trip" through Planet 4546B, especially since your character, "Ryley Robinson," is a (sort of) Space Janitor like Sierra Online's "Roger Wilco" of "Space Quest.";) kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHnGlp2BgJmLbKs

Which is happening, slowly but surely and its going in the right direction :) I'm quite happy with how everything is working out, loving the games I'm playing now and my channel is doing fine for the amount and type of content I put out.
