Maybe Michelle cries so much in this movie because she spent so little time grieving her dead friends "a few days" earlier. Also, what a a horrible new life, wake up to your new life and the guy you chose death for is gone and guy with those creepy ass fingers is trying to make you fall in love with him... and his mommy looks like the crypt keeper. I think I'd cry too.

He's perfect. :) I never understood how and why they made so many of these movies - or why they called them Subspecies. I understand that they were cheap to make, being half romanian co-productions, but still, who ever took Radu seriously?

Radu's mother was on rough terms with him for her being banished by his father. Just another of those holes in the series that confuses more than it does solve anything. Especially when you consider that she was the one to "charm" the King. Her giving birth to the raspy, slobbering pile of prosthetics that is Radu shouldn't be laid on his doorstep. After all, he never asked to be born.

I'm pleasantly surprised that they actually continued the main girl's story. I've come to expect all horror movie sequels to do the cliché "main character dies, now their next of kin, who we've never heard of, becomes the protagonist" plot.

I'd think Radu actually IS the protagonist, since well... I'd say the subspecie that is mentionned in the title feels more like it's talking about Radu and lessabout finger demons (that exist because he is a weird vampire/witch subspecie). To me michelle was never a main character (plot twist I guess ha ha)

Ok Red let me explain because you may have missed it. By them drinking from the bloodstone that is what gives them the power to stay out in the daylight that is why the bloodstone is sacred to them. At the point where you said you were having trouble believing the whole Daylight issue somehow. What You must understand is that when Radu first came back at the beginning of part 2 yes he killed his brother but he didn't stop to think about sucking on the bloodstone, I guess because he just came back from being undead he didn't realize that it was daylight. I mean all I know is that by them drinking from the bloodstone it allows them to be out in sunlight that's why they hold the bloodstone so sacred. I hope this helps you understand that hold daylight thing. See that's why subspecies would kick twilight butt. Because Edward & all of them don't have a bloodstone so they can only be out in daylight at certain times. When Radu & all of them do have a bloodstone, besides I think Bell would love Radu more than Edward because Radu has those long fingers & that deep voice & you wouldn't know when Radu is being serious or joking around because of that deep voice. So yeah I can see Bell having a affair with Radu & having his son or daughter...
