Substitution: Find where two lines intersect

Find where two lines intersect by Substitution.
1. Isolate one of the variables in one of the equations. Doesn't matter which one
2. Rewrite the OTHER equation, but as you get to the variable you isolated in Step 1, instead of writing it, write whatever it's EQUAL to according to Step 1
3. Solve for the variable in your new equation
4. Plus that value into the equation from Step 1 to get the other variable's value
5. State your answer (x,y)!

you divide 14x by 14 and it gets the x by its self, 14 divided by 14 is 1 so when you have 14x = 14 you divide both sides by 14 or whatever number is with the variable, 3x=8 u divide by 3, 200x= 33 you still divide by 200 , whatever number u have with the variable. hope that helped

He divide the 14's by 14 Because of the division property of equality, he needed to get the x by itself and in order to do that you had to divide by 14 on both sides.
