Another awesome video, guys! What made me wanna be a part of your tribe was the simple fact that you guys are genuine and pack in a TON of relevant and actionable value! I really try to do the same with my guitar channel, making sure I show that passion, which comes off naturally, and always making sure my people walk away with more than what they had before they watched my video. And yes, blogging is certainly NOT DEAD! My muscle-building blog has been steadily growing since I rebuilt the site (about a year and a half ago) when I started following you guys (and I later joined P24)! I have a KZbin channel for that business as well but that niche is extremely saturated on KZbin but I’m killing it with blogging and outranking some really big sites!

Very helpful video. I know I focus way too much on the center circle on all my channels so adding some other aspects may really help. I'll have to give it a shot. Another thing about the title recap at the start of the video. I understand what you are saying but I know google transcribes your video and looks for confirmation from the title that it is what the video is about. I always thought this was a huge metric for SEO as SEO is how I get my views.. I'll try it your way for a bit and see if anything changes. Thanks for the tips.

I have a gaming channel I started back in April. I do 2-3 vids a day and used to do 5 a day. It took until a couple weeks ago to finally see a jump in which my traffic has now jumped over 400% and holding steady there. My research at least for gaming channels is that you just keep going and stay consistent. It takes about 6 months before it starts to climb which is the timeframe I ended up experiencing.

I can't stress enough that KZbin content creation should come from your love of creating videos. I see lots of channels die very quickly because they started with monetisation rather than creation in mind. Organic growth can take a long time depending on your niche, but KZbin can give you a boost towards audiences that care to stick around for your content. So, just like with blogging, *great* content is king.

Hey Ricky, if we want to embed a video on our site, since page speed is a factor, and it takes time for videos to load, do you recommend putting the video on a page other than the home page? Also, if our informational blog posts are under, say domain.com/FAQs or domain.com/blog, should we put the video on separate page, like domain.com/video?

Blogging is certainly not dead. But you have to be extremely consistently and for a long time, especially in the beginning. I think many believe blogging is dead because they do not wanna out in the work up front.

I think this is one of the best videos I've seen on how to succeed on KZbin. "If you want to succeed on YT, you have to give people a reason to want to come hang out with you." pretty much sums it up. That's what gives many channels the 'secret sauce' that others are missing. But I'd add to the 'create unique, helpful content'. People might wonder what makes their informational video unique. Your personality is unique, so if you let that come through, you already have a unique video. And probably that's the hardest part of all.

Ricki, when is the new Acabado theme coming out? I noticed that you guys refuse to do a black Friday deal, and I know you guys are going to adjust the acabado theme to be more customizable. And although I like the theme, when you're building 20 websites, mostly all of them will look pretty much the same.

Hey guys. I signed up for Bluehost (through your guys' affiliate link to support you as best I can), and signed up for the Basic plan. Just one website, not even at 2k users/month yet, I thought it would be good enough until I get into the 10's of thousands of pageviews. Apparently not. My site used to load in about 4.5s, not great, not horrible. Well now it loads in MINIMUM 8s, and GTMetrix even said 20.5s for one of my tests. I migrated the website, so it has nothing to do with my plugins or anything like that. Very disappointed! Trying to get in touch with a manager or something... Will keep everyone updated if they are considering getting bluehost how it goes moving forwards. Josiah

That’s interesting. W we’ve seen lots of sites in bluehost get great pagespeed scores. The biggest slowdown we see is on the back end. The wordpress dashboard is slower than on more expensive hosts. We’ll have to keep watching. If bluehost is dropping the ball we’ll change our recommendation. But so far we’re building new sites on bluehost and haven’t experienced that.

It's mainly an affiliate site and I haven't had time to write for it. There's second site though, that I've built for ezoic mainly, and it has 15 articles, and we plan to add as many as possible before it is sold. And the monthly and the total revenue will be split 50/50. As we are in a 50/50 partnership. Myself and the writer.

Hey Rick The mirror is just one part of the game. Also the topic is very important, there needs to be an audience. And the factor of competition also stands in the room. I know this video is for beginners but it could have had a bit more meat on the bone. Also most income on information videos? It is a numbers game my friend. I can have an information channel with 30 thousand views a months but my buddy has pure entertainment with 2 million views. The difference in RPM needs to be very high to generate the same income, right? Frank. I addressed your very question in the video. Yes, that channel with 2 million views has more views. Of course. But his audience is not a high value demographic so his RPM is very low. Also, what can he sell other than merch? A high value info product would be a tough sell on his channel. So whose channel is actually more valuable? Of course there are many factors that influence a channel’s success. I focus on the ones that I can control.
