It's really sad when you consider that they have a singer like RIA.✌

The moment the autotune kicked in, it was too much for me. I am very scared for the rest of the album because it seems to get worse/more over the top every track. It's unfortunate because while it sounds very electronic (I am pretty sure those are programmed drums), I do like the more metal/punky parts and I am not too bothered by the synthy parts (in contrast to PassCode tracks), but damn that autotune sounds absolutely terrible. But I guess they at least don't try to hide the fact that their vocals are touched up. (I actually just heard a small amount of autotune in Band-Maids Matchless Gum Live video, which I love, and I am a bit annoyed by it, crazy that I never caught that before).

@@MaartenT Well the next song is actually a lot better on the vocals imo, but it's also kind of a k-pop song so I don't know if you'll like it any better 😅

If even you are complaining about the autotune, there's almost no chance that I'm going to like it. In fairness, it's no worse than what's on a lot of Gacharic Spin's early music, and they went on to produce two of my all-time favourite releases in W and Ace. It's an artistic choice that I hate, but it's nothing worse than that.

I think it's "worse", but not by a lot compared to some of the very autotuned early GS tracks. Some GS tracks are really savage in their use of autotune. It's present until at least their Kakuhen album, but probably G-litter as well (I own that one, but I hardly listen to it). The weird thing is that I actually have gotten to love some of the autotuned tracks by GS (Sekira Liar comes to mind), I don't know why because I absolutely hate that effect, but for some reason GS makes it work for me in a lot of cases. Maybe it's just the amount of times I heard it or something or because I know they don't have to rely on it to sound good live.

@@kicorse Interesting to hear GS used that type of effect earlier, but while I haven't heard those songs yet, I'm glad they evolved past that. I mean they still use tons of vocal effects that are just way more interesting than this weird over-autotune and well like I said in the video, it can work, but not for a part like this where it's meant to have some impact 😅
