When done in the round (I am a beginner and want to make a hat with a flat round top to it), how do I start? I have my magic circle of 6 sc stitches (I tried 8 sc stitches first, but the circle was too big to close with that many. #4 thickness yarn) and I closed the circle with the slip stitch. Since I am not doing corners, I am not sure of what to do next. Can you please help me?

Remember this pattern is a 2 row repeat so it won't look the same in the round. It'll be like the half of the "star"

Start your next round with a chain two and do the star starting in the chain. Also at the end of that round you can turn, to do the next row of half DCs
