Hindus are majority in this country so it's natural to have them in most movies because by numbers crime will be more by Hindus but showing a villain as muslim should not tickle your nipples as crime and specifically jihad (as movie is typically based on kashmir matter) is more done by bhatka hua musalman usually found in Kashmir. By no means I'm anti-muslim and I know these days anti-muslim things are trending but majority Hindus are not dumb to entertain anything anti-muslim. My three main problems with the movie : 1) why and I question again why would Indian government negotiate and release a terrorist for a cop’s wife , and also send so many resources and army etc to save her. ? They should have given some more reasons for government to be invested in this kind of stuff ! Like for example avni was kidnapped with 20 other international diplomats and now there is an international pressure on Indian government to work on this mission and hence so many qualified cops and army troops are investing their energy and time on this rather than doing their regular duties. 2) why their son had to be a 20 something guy? It could easily have been some young pre-teen kid ! Provided singham 2 came just 10 year ago and they got married at that time! 3) the Ramayana reference could have been extremely subtle or atleast subtle like in RRR or the Mahabharata reference in bahubali and Ranjeeti movie , to create an effect I think I am trying to find logic in something that shouldn’t be there

I liked the fact that you mention about kids watching a film like this which does have one rather violent scene. But you mentioning that movie theatres don't care about this is kinda wrong cos its not their job per se... its first upto the parents themselves to care and decide if they want to show their children something like say a Singham Again or a KGF or a Pushpa each of which does have violence.

If the parents couldn't care less about what their kids see, expecting the theatre owner to care seems a bit far fetched. Also Singham Again was not A rated so kids with parents are technically allowed.

I am parent to 2 kids ages 9 and 6. I always look at the movie certificate rating and parents guide with regard to violence/gore/nudity before taking them to watch a movie. It’s a responsibility of the theatres/cinema board and ultimately parents to check which movies is age appropriate. I hate it when stars advertise their movies as family entertainment /bring your whole family and then the movie is filled with inappropriate scenes and violence.

I'm surprised you didn't get why Deepika and Kareena accepted their roles in this film. Both know of course their roles are crap. But being part of a hit film - even if crap - is a plus point for their careers. Major brownie points in getting big bucks in the future. Pathan? Another crapfest. But she understands that being part of a boxoffice bonanza is good as a career move. Both actresses can easily do serious stuff and get critical raves but its being in a film that the public likes is what makes their careers soar in Bollywood. The Muslim as the 'Other' 'Traitor to India' 'Villain' trope in Bollywood cinema is getting so old and ridiculous. Seriously? A Muslim as Raavan? Islam had not even come to the world let alone India as a religion in Ramayana days. The Nazi Cinema did the same with the Jews to cast them as the bad guys. Big follower of Pakistani Drama Serials (equivalent of what Bollywood is in India, way way way better, layered and nuanced though) and I do not recall India ever being mentioned. Hindu characters I have seen in the the two series 'Kuch Ankahi' and 'Working Women' were positive characters. This obsession with Muslims takes away the market of 200 million Muslims in India and the Pakistani/Indian Muslim diaspora for such cinema. Bad business model.

on the contrary I really like Deepika 's short role.. her emotional scene made me cry...but I get it this is coming from a lobby which is team Alia...who is so insecure with Deepika... nevertheless Sucharita the Ramayana aspect and the link of various places was not bad infact commendable but I understand you are so obsessed with Shakespeare and western cinema that such ramayan angle can't fascinate you...Mr Ranbir Kapoor and nitesh tiwari may also worry because too many Ramayan projects can take their limelight away...I get it Sucharita..your bias is quite evident beneath your pseudo intellectual and wannabe tone...good luck...tumse na ho payega...Honesty is a rare quality to sustain for a longer run!!!!

Too much cook spoils the broth that exactly is the problem with Singham Again.. I don't understand what Rohit Shetty was thinking while cutting a 5min long trailer spoiling everything.. Leaving no awe moments in the movie itself. Didn't he watch Marvel or DC movies how those filmmakers n production houses hide everything from the public eye about which character will make a surprise cameo or a sequence to hype the movie buzz.. N the biggest problem with the Cop universe no linear timeline is being followed. Rohit Shetty be like since both the singham movies are successful let's make a universe out of it.
