I was always fascinated by Sudoku puzzles, but never had time to learn how to do them. Now that I am retired, I thought this is the time. After failing miserably and feeling totally dumb, I figured there must be a way to learn how. I did a search on KZbin and came across your videos. I couldn't have asked for a better instructor. I always knew you could learn how to do anything on KZbin, but never imagined how great your lessons could be. BTW, I am up to doing difficult puzzles now and have completed 30 of your lessons. Mr. Robin, Thanks for all the videos and lessons that you have given. Question: At the 17:21 tape stamp, Row 2, I noticed that you didn't complete that row using RULE 6. BLOCK One, ROW 2: [cell 1] pencil mark, pm, (1 5 6), [cell-2], pm ( 1 6). In Cross BLOCK 3,(same Row 2), Cell 8, pm 1 5. I concluded that the 1 6 matching pair in Cells one & 2 were much Stronger than the 1 5 in cell one. Hence, the pm 5 was eliminated from cell 1and the 5 became the BIG NUMBER IN BLOCK THREE, ROW 2. Also in Block 3, the one was added to Row one to complete that BLOCK. THANKS. 👍👍👍👍

You lost me at 20:50 on Left centre block when you said the only place for 4 is centre column middle row But Left column middle row - 4 was available too. Why did you choose please

Unfortunately No as I dont have the means, time and energy to do this at present. It would have to be a separate upload on youtube. I might consider it in the future as at this moment I am moving and very busy. One of the problems is that there are many paths to take when solving....it depends on what you see, when you see a path and what techniques your know to look for. the R5C1 48 is missing the 9 it i not a matching pair with R5C2 48, it should be R5C1 489, R5C2 48 am i missing something. also when He excludes 8 in R5C2 why not exclude the 8 R5C1 instead. it is an option as well, right? am i missing something?

The only suggestion I can give is that you look at the puzzle again. In future may I ask that you give the mins and seconds for what you are concerned about. As I have over 15 million views , you can save me a lot of time giving these times on the video I looked at the video and to me everything is correct. Sorry. Robin.

Thank you so much but I still get stuck. At 20 minutes you say the 4 has to be in the center of the center block. Why can't it be on the left and have the 8 in the middle. I don't understand why it has to be in the center.

I was wondering the same thing. But he answers on another comment. Column 2 must have a 4. All the positions are eliminated because they either have a number in the cell already, or there is a 4 in the row, leaving only a single cell capable of holding a 4.

On this puzzle, how did you get to have a four in column two row five you say the go to less than 13 no offense, but you just seem to that we’re just supposed to know
