Learn sudoku with Sudoku Guy
This tutorial is suitable for all levels of players.( beginners to hard levels.)
Weekend puzzles in national newspapers will have easy puzzles at the beginning of the week and very difficult puzzles on the weekend. This was a weekend puzzle and it was easy. It is a matter of what you know, what you spot and when.
Many of you have asked when I will be doing puzzles on the famous white board. Finally after 8 months it arrived in Australia. (Port and covid problems I am told.)
It is very easy to miss a ramification in this puzzle. e.g. at 17 30 I missed a ramification in block 1,4, and 7 re a 6. did you find any others?

Hi Robin. I remember at the start of your tutorials you always used to combine cross-meet with LCR/TMB at the start, but then you started doing cross-meet separately later on. I always wondered why this was, as it seems to me that doing them altogether is easier and more efficient..? Thanks, and great job with your videos! David.

Greetings from France 🥰. I adore you. I guess you CAN believe me, I HAVE PROGRESSED without even realizing 🤣🤣. In this puzzle I had a 78 Matching Pair in Column ONE and to my amazement I had a crazy 79 Matching Pair in ALL OTHER BLOCKS 😮. I wondered if there was a mistake somewhere "down the Isle"😂. AFTER completing my Puzzle with no cheating I compared my results with yours. Lo and behold by George I did "brilliantly" 😅😅 well. Professor Sudoku, a Gentleman who taught me to USE MY BRAIN and SPOT for Matching Pairs, I say a big MERCI DE TOUT MON CŒUR ❤️. Big hugs from me and my Newfoundland. 👍👍👍🏆🏆🏆💐💐💐 Your addicted fan.

It is easy to miss things like this but in the end it was found. Sometimes it is the other way round....it depends on what know and what you spot and when. Thanks for your comment.

16.41 Hi, nearly always when a single pair of small numbers becomes one (a single 5 in this case) you make it a large number but not this time, why? This is my single biggest issue to understand when it´s a big number and when it isn´t.

I'm not sure what you mean but the in bl 9 5 can only go in 2 places, however when the 7 was entered there was only one place for the 3. The 3 had 2 choices due to LCR. If you don't understand LCR go to lesson 2. Hang in there Michael

Hello Barbara, I think you are mistaken. The 1/2 is in 2 cells and that makes them a matching pair, also in col 1 there is a 1,2 below which makes a matching pair 1/2 in row 2. Hope this helps. One question: in minute 4:22 you declare that the 1,2 are a matching pair, but you still haven't checked all the remaining numbers in these 3 blocks. How can you be sure that those cells don't also contain a 9, for example?

Hi Miki I don't check the res of the blocks 1,2 and 3 because I am unable to use TMB and cross/meet. The discovery of other numbers in bl 1,2 and 3 will come later. Look at lesson 1 and 2

I have hit a road block. I am stuck on the middle of the puzzle. I have left a 4,5,6,7,9. All the rows blocks and columns have all the same numbers and I am not sure what to do next. I understand it's difficult for you with such little information.

I enter the numbers into a Sudoku computer program. The program gives a warning that this puzzle has more than one solution.

when I did it I got stuck with 2 7s 6 8s and 2 9s. When I asked the computer to solve it, starting from scratch, the computer program gets the same result.
