I’d rather feed my brain with glucose produced by my body through gluconeogenisys rather than ingesting it … steady blood glucose level, no insuline resistance, no stress on the bowls by fiber, no lectins, no oxalates …

Excellent point. The brain loves ketones as well.

Don’t forget pork lard as Lao has a high percentage of monounsaturated fats! 😊

What evidence? He just made claims. Check out Professors ede and Chris Palmer. They are curing brain disease with meat heavy, whole food, low carb diets.

As a completely different species with a unique microbiome, "Homo Sapiens Carnivorous", no studies will apply to me, unless you can explain the MECHANISMS behing your claims. Can you do that without referring to more studies? Didn't think so. Or...?

Without suppling the studies you refer to, you are just talking. For 3 million years we ate animal protein, which always comes with fat, lots of saturated fat. That saturated fat is how we grew such large and powerful brains. To say that unsaturated fat is healthier for the brain, should cause you to question such a position. Seed oils have only been in our diet for about 100 years. Think about it. Also, most nutritional research is funded by big food. Think about it.

I mean isn’t the meat actually leaner game? I mean if we went and shot birds, deer, rabbits, squirrels, all thats lean game. Where does all this saturated fat yall talk about come from. The hadza are hunter gatherers and still eat a low saturated fat diet. Most if the wild game is lean, not loaded with fat like most claim. Also the more saturated fat i ate, the higher my fasting insulin was. Its crazy how a vegan diet gave me a fasting insulin of 2.4, a higher saturated fat diet shot it up to 3.7 🤷‍♂️

@@Primetime_dads Wooly Mammoths, Wooly Rhineros, Cattle, Sheep, Bison Moose, Deer, Elk and swine. Much more than that. Also all the organ meats from those animals. The brains of these animals have lots of saturated fat.

Hi! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch the video and reply. I know this is a complex subject and very much appreciate your comment. I agree that nutritional research tends to be less helpful than I would want, both because of bias and because of lack of the ability to draw helpful conclusions due to study design. And to be clear, I'm almost always in favor of eating real food as opposed to trying to get unsaturated fat from highly-processed vegetable sources. That said, both observational and interventional data to date support a diet lower in saturated fat consumption with higher unsaturated fat consumption in terms of what may be most beneficial to specifically dementia. This is supported by Mediterranean diet observational research as well as interventional data like the Predimed study

@@estestnonest Spot on! Hunters always go for the fattest animals for most of our existence as humans. Weston A. Price showed indigenous cultures revered animal fat because of the nutrient density. Also, saturated fat is highly stable and not prone to oxidation.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU ARE SHARING.... WITH BALANCED INSIGHT. BLESSINGS AND KEEP SHINING! EITHER EXTREMES WILL CRITICISE YOU. I HAVE FOUND THE BEST DIET IS TO BE CAREFUL WITH 90+%.... AND BE SOCIAL WITH THE 5+%... AND THEN EXERCISE AND BE CAREFUL AGAIN. THANK YOU.

How do you explain people on carnivore diets who say they have more clarity of mind, less brain fog?
@draustinperlmutter
@draustinperlmutter 23 күн бұрын
Almost any diet that departs from the standard American diet is likely to provide benefit. Individuals will have individual effects from different diets. I think carnivore could provide benefits, but I don't know that it's a good long-term fit for most.

I have found your videos informative and have subscribed to your channel. I suggest that you put your request for likes and subscribing somewhere other than the very last seconds before the video ends. I was going to like and subscribe after the first two of your videos I watched but the videos disappeared before I couild do that.. Look at how the KZbinrs with large subscriber bases do it. Talking with docs is a good example
