Excellent quilting decision. The spiral is a great contrast to the angles in the quilt. Really brings it all together. Your Round Robbin friends did a beautiful job of adding to your starter block. And the gnome! Genius and so cute..😊

Mar21-2020 Thanks for another great video, Irena (I know you spell your name "Irene", but since it's pronounced "IrenA", I'm tempted to spell it that way. Hope you don't mind!). Your quilt turned out FABULOUS!! I can't wait until I can afford to buy myself a machine with a "needle down" function such as yours has. Since all the pandemic pandemonium has now reached Canada, our $ exchange rate has plummeted against the US$ -- which is where goods like sewing machines come from. So I'm going to have to wait longer to be able to get one. Sigh. I know, it could be *much, much, MUCH* worse. Others are battling harsher realities, so I can't complain. I can make do with my 1985 Pfaff 1019 a little longer, not a problem. Your videos make for very cheerful watching in the face of such stressful times. THANK YOU Irene... I hope your family are all safe and healthy! ~Diana K.

I hope to learn some tips, dear Irene, because I am struggling with machine quilting on my latest finish. It’s a bigger size than your round robin, though, so it’s quite unwieldy underneath my domestic machine. I free-motioned on many blocks, but now I am trying to quilt some blocks with a walking-foot and am getting frustrated. 😢 I think I prefer handquilting.
@Sugaridoo
@Sugaridoo 4 жыл бұрын
Yes bigger quilt can be a challenge, free motion quilting the blocks sounds like a great idea. When working on a very big quilt I would go for designs that don't need much turning on small areas. Like with my spiral, the center wasn't ideal for a walking foot, for the outer areas the walking foot was perfect. Go slow and take lot's of breaks. You can do it! 💪

Hi Susan, on this machine you can not select the foot #. On the B790 you can select a presser foot, but on my machine touching the foot # on the screen will give you information on the different feet you can use with the current settings.
