I've had more solid spring-crowns, but in my experience they all have a little wobble to them.

It's a true alternative to San Martin. In some areas its qualities are nearly as good and in some areas such as lume they're even better. But Sugess are asking for less money including the quick adjust clasp. By the way in some instances the homage brands anticipate future colour versions of the real watch. Nice review Steve!

Beautiful watch. I got the dark blue delivered the other day. My GMT hand is spot on, all the dial and bezel and hands are aligned. No wobble on the crown when pulled out either. Silky smooth.

I am looking for a used bbp but i already know, that l will not wear it daily, because of damaging risks 😢 my "good watches" stay at home too much, i have to admit. A cheap, good looking watch like this Sugess would not. But it is what it is. I can't decide, how to handle this "hommage" thing.

Nah, SM, Sugess, Seestern and others are all family. Seiko supplies the movement and they use the 3D Printer to manufacture.

The 8 at 18 on the bezel is upside down. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. Really nice watch indeed, that would be too small on my 7 1/2 inch wrist.

The 8 is fine, but the 8 in the 18 is definitely upside down...unreal...lol. I have the same wrists and LOVE this size. But that's all personal preference

been hunting for a Christopher Ward C65 GMT for months now, starting to feel like it just makes more sense to get one of these. San Martin has been on the shortlist for a while too, but with the adjustable clasp and better price... This is starting to seem like the obvious choice for me!

@@EscapeWheel Really appreciate the offer! Looking for the black dial NH34 though. One question, will the bracelet on this Sugess fit up to an 8" wrist? Saw another reviewer say he thought it would only fit up to 7.5", and he recommended buying some extra links if you have a larger wrist.

@@tblakemusic I removed 1 link for my 7.5"-ish wrist so on the biggest adjustment and one link, it'll be close to 8" I'd probably ask for another link just to be sure.

I’ve noticed that the numbers on the Bezel do not seem to be centre justified vertically - ie. They are closer to the outside edge of the bezel. On the San Martin they are perfectly centred. I hope Sugess/Seestern fix this for the inevitable V2…

Thanks! Middle link width measures 9.8mm. so a touch wider than an most "oyster" bracelet which are usually I 8.9mm

How does this wear compared to the Pagani BB Chrono? The BB Chrono just about fits me and very interested in this watch! Thanks Steve

Just about the same, really. Pagani may seem a little bigger because of the bracelet taper (down to 18mm vs 16mm on sugess) and Chrono pushers. But the case itself, thickness, how it hugs the wrist. Very similar. And having put them on one after the other, the step up in quality is quite a bit higher on the sugess.

I think it looks best on the black rubber strap - really get that black/white "stormtrooper" look popping. Very nice crisp fit and finish. A deal-breaker for me is a really pedantic thing and that is the coloring of the dial text. The GMT part should be what is orange, and not the depth rating!!! Also as you pointed out, the color of orange doesn't match. Small things but they would irk me so much when looking at the dial that I just can't pull the trigger on this one. The San Martin gets these two things right.

I own the vintage Rolex GMT by Suggess. It's ridiculously good value for money. Other than the Sellita movement I had in my Steinhart it is a better watch

I got mine yesterday, January 13th 2024 and the crown is not loose like that at all so there is something wrong with your watch. I own 3 Vostoks with the designed wobbly crown so I know what it's supposed to feel like. There is definitely something wrong with your crown. On another note I also have a San Martin SN007 62mas. Great quality for both. Thanks for this review because it was my deciding factor. I assumed the crown was normal but after mine came I see yours is definitely not.

This watcher is super but the size just doesn’t do it for me! I feel like they could have done a 39mm version with a 46mm lug to lug like the Christopher Ward for example. That one works with all wrist size but yes significantly more expensive
