I think this is the future of guitar amps, with digital modelers becoming more popular and amp companies starting to feel the financial pinch. This is the perfect answer, i'd love marshall to incorporate this tech with a Plexi. I'd start collecting amps again instead of using my Kemper and Axe fx 2 if they all had this tech. I know i can do it now with a load box and IRs but just plugging in, connecting to my sound card and playing without having to set things up is just appealing to me.

Things like this and like the new Fender Deluxe Reverb ToneMaster... which is modeling of just one exact amp..... with traditional amp controls... ..plus power scaling and IRs to run out for direct recording.

Sounds really good, and seems pretty versatile. Seems like it nailed a lot of the genres or rock, hard rock and has a good metal tone as well. Call me crazy, I would be curious to see how amp sounds comping some cool jazz riffs. Thanks for the insight on the amp.

Cool sounding amp offering some solutions to a frustrating problem. First, I have to confess that I dislike using ears very much. Some people love, have gotten used to them or hate them. That's me, the 3rd one. True... It could be because I've never experienced them done right. Sorry for the small rant. Now, my question/request: I would love to here what this amp sounds like coming through a regular guy's PA, i.e., non-pro JBL, Peavey, Mackie, etc., demoing both a miced cab and the IRs.

Love Removal Machine! Uh, Yeah!!! Enjoyed this Pete. Might be sacrilege but I agree that your tone on Limelight was awesome! And your playing on the Whole Lotta Love solo was cleaner than Jimmy ever played it... :+) I think the mic'd tone had more "oomph", more bottom, than the IR one, but both were nice. Still not sold on this as a sub for a Plexi tone but hope to have the opportunity to demo one soon, and the 3 channels can eliminate "extra" OD pedals. Really is a great idea and solution for today's lower volume and more flexibility gigs and needs. Thanks for spending so much time on this!

Hey Pete. Really cool amp. But I'm puzzled at your comment (3:51) that your first IR sounded "warmer". Maybe its my desktop speakers, but the IR sounded like it had upper mids going on, like as if you had turned the presence up on the analog speaker version.. Did I hear you correctly?
