Anyone who says "Well it's called Kill the Justice League" completely misses the point of why fans are upset. The problem isn't that the Justice League died it's how they died that has fans upset because it was poorly executed. It's not that hard to understand it's not crying this game is poorly written and shits on the legacies of beloved characters. As an Arkham fan myself I am also upset by how they treated Batman it was lazy and it could've been done better.

In Gotham Knights, Batman died like Batman would. In this game he died like a side character. I'm not even a big Batman fan and even I hated that. Now, if they claimed that all their memories and intellect got erased then it would be different, but that’s not the case, if anything they should have been smarter by being controlled by brainiac. The repetition of these games...ugh. I couldn't do it, even with a group of friends, that crap will get really boring really fast. Dull, stretched out bullshit. Bullet sponges, repeated fights, 13 Brainiacs to finish the story? Fuck that. I just cannot see the appeal in live service games. All games are made to make money, of course, but live service games are so nakedly cynical about it that it's an immediate turn off. I don't get how people can stand that shit. The soulless, obvious attempts to funnel players into parting with more money for battle passes and terrible skins, in game currencies, loot boxes and all that other shit these games have tried...it's awful. Gamers buying this crap en masse are just asking for an endless diet of worse and worse games with less and less actual good design and story.

I mean, it’s set in a franchise where we see Batman time and time again outwit and overpower the most absurdly powerful villains, so you first have to accept that he’d get captured and mind controlled like a chump by megamind. After you accept that writing conceit you have to accept that he, as well as every other hero besides the flash, don’t have enough willpower to break through that mental prison. Then you have to accept that he becomes a murderer even though it’s clear that he’s experiencing some kind of hallucination. Then you have to believe the flash when he says there’s straight up no way to save any of them. Then you have to believe that Batman at his most ruthless would get beaten by captain boomerang, a shark, a gun guy and girl joker. And after all of this shit that doesn’t really make sense or feel satisfying to play through you get to watch him get blicked on a park bench without trying to escape. Not to mention he killed Tim off screen after him and barb finally get married. You can’t convince me that rocksteady wasn’t salty about the founders leaving the company and doing this as some kind of weird fuck you to the Arkham games.

the thing about this game thats so terrible is easily its story. nothing in this story runs on the rails of cause and effect at allll. where is wonder woman the whole story? why were her and flash not working together before he got mind controlled? how did brainiac even beat the justice league if he cant beat the sui shmucks WITH the justice league? None of what i said is a matter of my opinion. My opinion is that the game is shit. The comedy is generally undercut by how insistent it is and God bless do Harley and Boomers voice acting make me grit my teeth. I hate the style of comedy and I find the way Batman is portrayed in this game to be annoying. That there would be my opinionated statements on the game.

When you say people should be upset at the story's end instead of Batman's death - they are. This is the end of the Arkham Batman game's story. The culmination of a full trilogy worth of story building up this particular Batman in such a way that this game's treatment of him (skill wise alone) spits in the face of what came before. I genuinely think if this were a different, alternate universe version of Batman people would be less irate about it.

@@thejoker420xp better gameplay, it’s not as clunky, more smoother, more fun. Better traversal, that’s obvious, astronomical gap in traversal . Better graphics, also a given. Better art design, besides Gotham in arkham knight, this is probably the best open world they ever made. Better open world, again metropolis is actually ripped straight out of a comic book. Better cinematics, facial animations are the best I ever seen in gaming period. Better voice acting, another obvious one. The only thing that’s even remotely contentious is story, and even then this has better highs with actual dynamics and characterization lol.

To be fair, many of die hard Arkham Batman fans who have played these games for years because it was essentially the blueprint for any RPG superhero game just wanted a better ending for Batman than literally shooting him on a bench. His boss fight also was one of the worst ones in the game for being Arkham Batman. I understand it’s SSKTJL but idk I feel like Batman should’ve had a different ending to that story. There’s a reason why the game is doing terribly and it’s not just the Batman thing, the story itself is 💩 and it was doomed from the beginning.

I beat the game. Very fun game. However, there were so many inexcusable bugs on ps5. It kind of tainted my overall experience. However, very fun game to play with others or alone. Great content for DC fans, despite the Arkham stuff. It was wild for Batman to go out like that, but I wasn’t heated about it. It’s a game.

And because Superman was sporting enough to be close so the radiation could hurt him, instead of just chucking cars from a mile away, or using heat vision, or just taking a deep breath and blowing them a mile away, or anything that Superman would NORMALLY do to mitigate his weakness.

At least you beat the game. I personally enjoy it, but that's because I just enjoy looter shooters for what they are Also, I actually care about the characters. To me, DC villains are way more interesting than most of the super heroes, Wonder Woman being a massive exception and she was the best part. I love this game because I got to play as Harley Quinn and I loved Gotham Knights because I got to play as Batgirl. I'm also really looking forward to Wonder Woman.

Bro the game is amazing y’all but then I ran into a problem that made me regret buying it I log into the game hit jump straight in and then I loaded in and bam it hit me I got messages saying “the game thinks you’re cheating” I close the message and started falling through the map I uninstalled and installed it back but the same thing keeps happening let me remind y’all I beat the campaign and was grinding endgame they rolled that patch out for pc and now the game thinks im cheating and glitches me through the map so I fall pass the map and I hit a black wall need revive don’t get it I die but guess what it spawned me in the sky Soo I thought it was fix swing wit Harley tried to land on top of a building to realize it wasn’t fox I started falling straight through the map again imma need them to fix their shit or start sending refund back out because my game is unplayable

This game was a lot of fun and I played solo. The map design is great and I love the attention to detail. I also love the audio and the characterization of these particular comic book characters I think they did them justice and I liked their takes on them. The open world map and mission design was actually structured in a way that made a lot of sense as far as the story. I also like the way the joker gameplay so that makes me excited to see the other dlc which seems to be deathstroke and a version of mister freeze . Only thing about the game I didn’t like is mission variety . I wish there was more variation to the missions you played if not just having outright different missions to complete . Also when ppl compare the environment with Arkham knight they don’t actually use the same weather and when they have comparable weather the games looks Similar but I would say sucicide squad obviously has improvements and looks much better . But Arkham knights atmosphere overall was just a bit more grim and moody in general. And I also don’t see any issue with how the JL were killed sure maybe Some of them deserved more attention during their death but honestly it’s a sucide squad story literally about killing the JL so I don’t expect anything but them doing just that or an extremely abrupt cop out or out of left field macguffin . I think the game is a solid 8-8.5 /10 and deserves more attention . Definitely worth a buy . Only issue I had was during the Superman fight and near end game I started experiencing a lot of audio issues. And I think the boss fights were meant for more players to position and cooordinate for example most the bosses post up in multiple spots around the arena and as a solo player you always have to chase them around but with friends you could easily just set up in different positions and prepare to counter the bosses so honestly they might not be bad with friends but definitely are as a solo experience
