They probably won't read this comment, but the reason Gengar felt "weaker" for Jo is because Gastly and Haunter have the ability levitate, which makes them immune to ground attacks. In earlier generations, Gengar also had the ability levitate, but to nerf him they changed it for the ability Cursed Body, which allowed him to be hit by ground types unlike his pre-evolutions.

This led to one guy running haunter over gengar so he could pair it with garchomp. Should also note he didn't use eviolite because hunters so frail it wouldn't matter. Also it wasn't widespread it was just the one dude who was using it for ground poison coverage.

I wonder how long until one of the Suika-clones does something such as animated drops, so they crawl around or climb things to some extent on their own. (And mix it up by how fast they move or what other things they can get traction upon.) Now that would add something more unique than just shapes to this meta. I suspect that could be an interesting or cool mechanic not seen with the original.

37:13 The second time it's happened and they still didn't notice lmao. In the other one I kinda wrote it off as they had just started playing that one and didn't really know the wheel, but this is almost 40 minutes into this thing- When three of the same thing fuse it turns into the one after what it would regularly turn into. So here when the three Mawiles fused instead of turning into Doublade like Mawile usually does, it turned into Rotom Mow. So while you think you're being scammed and its just taking your mon you are infact scamming the game and using one less mon to get there. I doubt you'll see this, but if you do I hope this helps make suika month more productive 👍

The reason Jo got confused about Haunter and Gengar is because Gengar *does* get hit by attacks Haunter can’t - Haunter is immune to ground types because of Levitate, but Gengar is weak to them because it’s ability changes upon evolution, and ground is strong against poison.

The wheel of evolution is based off of rarity and evolution stage because it goes from 1st evolution Pokémon to second to a peak evolution to a special Pokémon being rotom then pseudo legendary then a lore Pokémon that you can’t catch then Groudon being a main game face legendary then god

12:08 Not all fur suits will have an AC unit or cooling fan in it. Some furries are just built different. These guys will march in a parade in full suit for hours and only have an athletic suit underneath. There's a reason a lot of furries will just wear the head, paws, and tail. Not all of us are powerful enough to don the full suit. xD

Gen 1 was pretty wild. Everyone thought ghost was weak to psychic because of gengar, not a single Pokémon was able to run a super effective move against mewtwo because all the Pokémon who could were outsped and weak to psychic. Tauros running mixed sets because it has a respectable gen 1 spatk stat and it learns EVERYTHING. Physical and special damage being determined by typing. Freeze being a permanent status effect. Eggxecutor being a top 4 Pokémon, battling for that spot with starmie. Wild times.

It really was. Psychic dominated everything. Special Attack and Defense was a single stat, making Chansey both a tank AND a powerhouse (with access to Ice Beam, which freezes). Crit hit rate was determined by Speed. Fucking bonkers games. Hell, the physical/special split didn't happen until gen 4! Shadow Ball was a physical attack in Emerald! It took a whole decade for Gyarados to become good! That's insane!
