The number 1 reason, other than the video, on why she got convicted…. Is because she said she thought he could have gotten out of the suitcase, when she went to bed…. but if you are that afraid for your life, you would NEVER go to bed and fall asleep, thinking he would be able to get out… if you were an actual battered spouse. Jorge Torres is the one who met the criteria for Battered Spouse Syndrome! She would instigate a fight, attack Jorge, Jorge would react, Sarah would punish him by having him arrested then bail him out the next day. Then when he was safe living with his family she would barrage him with abusive texts and pursue him until he returned so she could mistreat and abuse him some more. Then she tortured him to death while laughing! She’s pure evil. She deserves life in prison!
@sammiegalati199023 күн бұрын
I agree. I said the same thing prior to trial, but after seeing Jorge crying, defeated, and asking law enforcement to arrest him was telling. She weaponized law enforcement and he was in no state to defend himself. Jorge wasn't guilty of DV, he was defending himself. I am certain his side of the steak knife injury would be completely different. I believe she whacked him with the BB bat upstairs. The injuries on his hand may have occurred while trying to defend himself. He was 103# and had two whacks to the head. While incapacitated she put him in the suitcase and pushed it down the stairs. The rest is history. I am so glad that the jury didn't believe her. At the very least she deserves life in prison.

Those videos of her berating him and belligerently drunk dealing with the cops should have been in here. They were major.

She definitely didn't do herself any favors by not taking the plea deal. Lol, I bet her life in jail is really bad now.. she's completely vile.

This is the dumbest defense EVER! I wish she was going to trial in my country (Morocco) they would most likely give her the death penalty the same way she killed him…
@Starbeam203125 күн бұрын
I thought about that. The prosecutor should have told her to get into the case zip out up and show us ALL how Jorge could get out. She’s a piece of work for sure. A part of me does feel sorry for her for thinking we are all so stupid.

"the ability to speak to you (that is Mr Torres), in a way I don't usually have the ability to speak" Then the prosecution shows multiple videos of her berating, belittling, and abusing him. What's more, she KNEW all those videos were on her phone. The prosecution had given her copies of all of them. She'd even insisted upon having ANOTHER down load of the phone done. So she'd have looked through each of the horrible videos herself in the 4 weeks before the trial. The prosecution didn't even have to belabour that point to the jury. They just showed the videos, and in the rebuttal closing said, "who is really being abused here"
@postal_the_clown24 күн бұрын
The way she delivered that line was so obviously rehearsed. And yes , I was hoping the state would play to her narcissistic side and get her flustered. But those rebuttal vids were more than enough.
@greenman614124 күн бұрын
@@postal_the_clown I've noticed that really good prosecutors always forego "gotcha" moments with defendants. Or witnesses. And instead save to their Closing the really damning evidence showing the defendant has lied. There are many good reasons for this. But a key one is....they don't make the mistake - which Sarah does - of believing the trial is about HER. That she is the important person. The prosecution know that the only people whose reactions matter are the jury. Though I do very much agree it would have been blissful to see Sarah go into one of her red faced rants. Well, even more red faced. Still getting her struggling with the suitcase, hampered by her own vanity - SHE insisted on wearing a tight skirt with a slit to the thigh. That was priceless. She didn't even realize what they were doing to her. Owens did. And he was out of his seat like his arse was on fire. The prosecution didn't even object to that..which they could well have. It just made even more or a spectacle. All three of them struggling to move that zipper.

Kind of weird that her own recording sunk her. Had she not shot the video, this trial would probably be non existent.

Why aren't I sick and tired of Sarah Boone? I've watched her interview at least 3 times!! Am I the definition of insanity? Am I expecting her answers to change? C'mon she "excels at everything"!! Juror #3 isn't changing his mind!!
@andrewryder307522 күн бұрын
When Sarah said, "I pulled him out and I stretched him out flat, and I began instantly trying to do CPR", the inclusion of that "instantly" just struck me as a HUGE red flag. Seems like someone with nothing to hide would just say, "I pulled him out and started CPR" without having to add that it was right away. Is it just me?
@realab220922 күн бұрын
It's not just you. Liars will often use qualifying "convincers" to sway others -- things like "honestly", "I promise" or (in this case) "instantly." They'll also often use REPETITION as a convincer. e.g., "I was yelling his name over and over and over...", "I continued CPR, continued CPR, and I continued CPR..." While it doesn't PROVE she's lying, it does make it far more LIKELY. Based on all of the convincing qualifiers in (and the general demeanor of) her testimony, I doubt she EVER did CPR.
@grudgejudy973624 күн бұрын
I couldn’t believe that, after 4+ years, that was her testimony! For her to reject that plea deal, with all that damning evidence against her, I figured she was going to give the performance of a lifetime on the stand!

19:35 Denied 🙅🏻♀️ nobody cared about this doctor’s opinion. (Wouldn’t persuade the jury’s one way or the other) If she didn’t testify Sarah would have still been found guilty. The evidence against her was more than sufficient enough to realize she was a horrible person and guilty.

I will never get tired of hearing the jury declare her guilty. The way Sarah looks at them as they are polled one by one, is immensely satisfying. She could have been a free woman in just a few short years, but now she'll spend the rest of her life behind bars. All because her ego wouldn't let her plead guilty.

@steelhurricane404125 күн бұрын
Absolutely. Right from the beginning Sarah continuously stated that it was an accident. Then changes the whole dynamics of the event and claims self defense. Sarah was pissed and was torturing Jorge. 15 years was more than a fair plea deal.

And the way she explains it as so matter of fact is disturbing. Something like that would wreck a normal person. I can’t even imagine how horrific it would be but for Sarah it’s no biggie. She is definitely EVIL and the most vile woman I have ever witnessed.

She’s quite the clown isn’t she. Should’ve just owned up and said it was an accident. I thought a lot would come out in the trial about Jorge’s abuse. Instead it showed us a lot about Sarah’s abuse while trying to gaslight the system.
@mandystrong819624 күн бұрын
Is there anyone on earth who would find it funny to be zipped up in a suitcase by your inebriated abuser? Sarah is such a liar and I pray judge Kraynick gives her 30-life.
@sammiegalati199023 күн бұрын
At no time did this psychopath shed a tear. Poor Jorge was catching DV charges defending himself. Her ex-husband told the police as much. He stated that she would punch and claw him when drunk but he was big enough to control her, where Jorge was not. It's a damn shame that Jorge's family did not have enough influence to convince him to stay away from her. She was the aggressor and I suspect his family knew he was high risk. Sarah Boone deserves no sympathy. She was a domestic abuser, pathetic drunk and the bane of her son, ex-husband, and Jorge's existence.

When Jorge was supposedly threatening her while he was in the suitcase, why didn't she record that? By her words Jorge was an abuser, one would think she'd want proof... After all she recorded him begging to get out. Her fabricated story made no sense at all! So glad the jury found her guilty.

All this was very sad. What disturbs me the most is at no point she appeared remorseful for what she did. This is a tragedy all round. Pretty much like in Amber Heard case i feel sorry for both these women. Something terrible happened to them that make them devalue life that much. I'm truly sorry for all involved in this tragedy!
