Recipe Description : Take a pan and add half a cup of suji / rava and 1/4 cup of ghee. After adding the ghee, then stir and mix it thoroughly. Once well-mixed, proceed to roast it until it turns golden brown, a process that should take about 9 to 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, while the suji is getting roasted, take another pan and add 1 1/4 cups of water, letting it boil for 4 to 5 minutes. After the water has boiled, then start adding it to the roasted suji in small batches, being cautious as it might splutter during the addition.
After adding the water, then continue to mix thoroughly. Following this, then add half a cup of sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder, mixing it well and cooking until the sugar dissolves. After 2 minutes, add 12 cashew nuts to the mixture, mixing thoroughly, and letting it cook for another 3 minutes on medium flame. After this, the suji halwa is now ready to be served.
