One of the most honest interviews I've seen in recent times. Have watched Yatin Sir in Shanti while I was a kid and today when listening to his thoughts on various topics, I feel so proud and happy to have born in a time where we have people like him. Sulekha has this knack of extracting some deep insights from people and it seems like they want to share it without any push. This is an exemplary quality in an interviewer. In this case, Yatin comes across as arrogant and egotistical (I don't think he is but his words are such) but Sulekha was so gentle and so friendly that he said so many things without prompting.

I have met Yatin quite a few times in the early 1990's when he was just an upcoming actor ,he had a done a very small role in the Bollywood hit movie Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak ,He used to come to Kalyan on many occasions, around that time he had bought a farm house near Murbad. He was quite a humble man then I haven't met him after those days.He is a fabulous actor,no doubt about that.

Very nice interview.. Oh The Great Artist . Yatin Dada is on such lovely artist. I always love on this Art "Acting" it's really the great Art. Many people would not aware about his parents , how he lucky & fortunate he could take experience of the best of best personalities in his childhood. " Best of Best" actor. Very cristal clear & FIRM thought & the great thing is He has guts to say openly without bothering anybody's presence or any platform . यतिन.. उत्तम बोललायस... आणि मुख्य म्हणजे जे आहे ते.. आहे तसे बोललायस.. उगीच फाफटपसारा नाही.. अलंकारिक भाषा नाही.. समाजाला उद्बोधून काही उपदेश नाही... समाजजीवन सुधारायचे असेल तर हा असे वागायला पाहिजे वगैरे वगैरे.. असे काही नाही.. मला हे वाटले.. मला हे पटले.. मी हे केले.. फक्त माझ्यामुळे कोणाला त्रास होत नाही हे पाहिले.. मला कोणाला उपदेश करायचा नाही.. किंवा माझ्यापासून कोणी काही धडा घ्या.. असले काहीही नाही.. आवडले आपल्याला.. आणि म्हणूनच पटलेही... आता भाऊ म्हणून तू मला बराचसा माहिती आहेस हा एक त्यातला फायदा.. मुद्दाम बराचसा म्हटले.. कारण पूर्णत्वाने कोणीच कोणाला ओळखत नाही.. स्वतःला देखील.. He mentioned having done a course from Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Seven Bungalows, Versova, Andheri (W). Well, that's where I did my post-grad from, in Fisheries Management and later on did my doctorate from CMFRI. Like Yatin, I too am a fish farmer and a consultant in aquaculture.

Ekdam dil khullas mulakhat ....yatin was very senior to me in Ruparel ...i think he had already done small role in Qayamat se Qayamat tak during that time.... आम्हाला वाटायचे कि यतिन college ला नाटकांसाठी येतात .... surprised to know he had done micro biology & is into fish farming since 90s ...his thoughts on live-in relationships though not agreeable to me , it is his life ...as long as he lives it without harming anyone it it totally fine ..
