OFFICIAL LYRICS: Wandering below the hadean seal Shaking, mortified, making my way back to nowhere This skeletal mask brings a demon of the day There never would have been a light if the messenger in still life had regard for the son of the damaged soul Send the mirror falling Heavens see that this man once had value among all the golden But eccentric revisions in life brought on decay Take submission from a man in control Set the sail blowing, search for peace A loose feeling consuming me Blood is spent A token for my sacrifice Fallen angel, you speak my name The needle turns, the hourglass is spinning around Give it, I want it... a sense of a fucking life I can almost feel mine at home Selfish cries I’m diseased Let it pour out and show what has healed One can finally find what's left in this masochistic personality In a holy bond we live Take a breath for seconds in this moment Sail upon the open skies Exhale your death and feel life, like water raining from above Majestic aura Take in my breath and lock eyes with a world once absent of your love Majestic aura Blood spent A token for my sacrifice The tortured realm has released my name I can feel my body parting with this world Rebirth is starting from within I'm born some place beyond your time Selfish cries Flaunt disease Own what's mine Death upon my knees Let it pour out and show what has healed One can finally find what's left inside this masochistic personality In a holy bond we live Take a breath for seconds in this moment Sail upon the open skies Floating up above the hadean seal Sounds of ambient voices will lead me from nowhere This skeletal mask brings a demon of the day

The thing about P1 is that when they wrote all of the songs, they had a vocalist that wasn't Spencer. This means that when Spencer joined and recorded vocals for the first album, he was singing in a style that wasn't his own, which is why it was missing that feeling of authenticity and emotion (If you've ever heard the recordings of P1 songs with the original vocalist, you probably know exactly what I'm talking about). I loved the vocals on P2, but by the time Juggernaut came around, Spencer really found his sound, and it works unbelievably well with the rest of the band. I can't believe the emotion that the Juggernaut songs stir up in me simply because of the inflection in Spencer's voice.

I disagree, just because of the layering. He had a full breath and just let it blast, as he can and should. However he has such a fun range that personally I love more when he explores from his high to low ends throughout a song or album. But I'm glad you enjoy his vocals as much as I do, a lot of the bitter comments focus on the vocals, and personally I think the vocals are as important as any other instrument. Drums, guitar, and vocals all fit together and none is better than the other.

John Crichton I always say that about whatever song of theirs I'm listening to. Like I think I have a favorite by them and than I listen to a different song and think that's my new favorite and so on and so forth. They're just incredible as a whole. They very slowly but surely took over as my favorite band and crushed my appreciation of the other bands I used to like that pale in comparison and introduced me to new stuff like Dream Theater and such.
@TheBanderson22

That's quite the proposition, but i've been thinking the same thing. I'm pretty convinced this is their best overall song. Juggernaut is a spiritual journey for me. Nothing else captures the the workings of a traumatized, suffering mind like this album does. The changing emotions of darkness and light, the hopelessness, the fleeting moments of happiness and peace, and the motif of becoming free, of being reborn is what I (and I think many of us) go through in a spiritual journey, or psychotherapy. This album is purely, deeply human, and a masterpiece I will never forget.

I'm happy to say I've finally come around to loving this album. I remember not being very into it when I first listened to it (I was obsessed with the faster pace and technicality of the first two albums and P3, and thought juggernaut felt too slow by comparison). Now it's my second favorite out of the whole discography, only topped by Hail Stan for me currently. I need to properly revisit it soon, I can appreciate it so much more now.

After listening through the entirety of this masterpiece, I have butterflies in my stomach. I waited two years to see Periphery live, finally accomplished that goal on 1/18/15, and now have listened to the album of a band that captured my heart from the beginning. They have changed. They have evolved. But as their sounds progresses, so does my love for this band of geniuses. To the haters, you were never a true fan. To the purists, you were never a true fan. To those like me, let us rise into the heavens with a glorious ballad by Periphery.

Josh Harbaugh lol a little extreme, but yes and yes and yes dude. I just seen them a little while back and they are real tight live. Spencer's vocal work is perfection and he utilize's every vocal technique I've ever heard him use (1:15 - 1:20 anyone?), the guitar riffs are top notch with incredible depth and solos, halpern absolutely tears it up in the drum solo, the production and mix is perfect and everything about this song shines.

My very simplistic interpretation of Juggernaut: A boy is born into a cult, lives his life killing people, doing evil stuff, wondering what it would be like outside.. Eventually discovers he is in fact a demon, kills himself, embraces this blunt reality and accepts it, trancends to the afterlife, and lives out eternity with his true "father", Beelzebub. Spencer said, in his segment with Nolly I believe, that he drew a lot of influence from Rosemary's Baby. As I said, that's a very minimalistic description, I could've obviously gone into greater detail, but some of the lyrics are self explanitory... I know a lot of people are struggling to understand the last two songs, but to me, this makes sense. Also, I could be 100% wrong, take this comment with a grain of salt. I can't wait till the band releases a summary of the story. :)

Agustin Torres I believe the protagonist was reincarnated into the same life in order to correct the wrong they have done in their previous life. Kind of like what we see in the Alpha video, but on a heavier scale.

That is the story, yes. But he is always indoctrinated in the same way in MK Ultra, which is a reference to mind control. He can get reincarnated multiple times, but he can never change anything because he is indoctrinated at a young age.

coming back to these albums just to say without the juggernauts, i wouldnt have had an idea for a game (sadly not in production, it was for school), these albums have inspired me many many times, and i listen to them all through at least once every few months, stranger things just always hits me differently im a person with a lot of regrets, ive made many mistakes with severe consequences, ive never really been the best person, and im not religious, but sometimes i think, what if thats real? what will happen to me? is all i have done meaning nothing even if im a changed man? thats what omega is, the anxiety of death, the fear of hell, and to me, stranger things is acceptance, and the growth from this fear i know this comment kinda doesnt mean shit, but its just a comforting song for me, because i get it, i get what theyre telling me

When I got into this album in 2018 I went through a messy breakup and felt guilty for all the things I did. I took a lot of solace in whatever the message is in this album(redemption). So I think I get what you mean, hope you find peace.

You may have a lot of regrets in your life you feel, God knows I do too, but the fact that you keep moving, and KNOW you've made some wrongs means you also know you can be better. Sometimes you have to listen to that voice in your telling you that you're better than what you've done in your past.

listening to Juggernaut again now, i realize both of this albums are the most underrated, yet the most ambicious and complex ones. the level of structure and, most of all, *the leitmotivs* , are outstanding. it's very sad to see how both albums were backlashed just because the band grew up and evolved on their composition. even if my favorite record it's still P2, this has a better writting in all levels.

You know, it's actually kinda funny how much of the lyrics of this song has paralleled with the actual show's plot so far, even though this came out a whole year before even the show's first season did. Actually, the lyrics of the whole ALBUM sound a bit like the show's plot, with the whole MK Ultra experiments and the protagonist discovering the existence of a hellish underworld, and all that.

***** I think it's more of the fact that he couldn't forgive himself for the sadistic things that he was forced and decided to do. Thats why he committed suicide in Graveless, which I think was because he couldn't forgive himself and just wanted to give himself away. But since his afterlife still brought him conflict, he fought hard against the masochistic side of himself and forgave himself for the things he did in his past life, and he finally let it go. In doing so he purified his soul so he was able to reincarnate. He was never a particularly bad person, it was because of the amount of force and influence that was brought upon him by the people of the cult that caused him to do bad things. At the beginning of Stranger Things, it explains that a little bit. "Heavens see that this man once had value among all the golden. But eccentric revisions in life brought on decay". I'm not completely sure, but I think I have a clear idea of what is going on.

What about the end? The last line to this song is This skeletal mask brings a demon of the day. I kinda thought it meant that he was reborn but in the same way as before doomed to relive his nightmare over and over. That's why this song goes to perfectly into A Black Minute. It restarts, and it all happens again and again. Fucking love this album. Gives me chills.

Wandering below the hadean seal Shaking, mortified, making my way back to nowhere This skeletal mask brings a demon of the day There never would have been a light if the messenger in still life had regard for the son of the damaged soul Send the mirror falling Heavens see that this man once had value among all the golden But eccentric revisions in life brought on decay Take submission from a man in control Set the sail blowing, search for peace A loose feeling consuming me Blood is spent A token for my sacrifice Fallen angel, you speak my name The needle turns, the hourglass is spinning around Give it, I want it... a sense of a fucking life I can almost feel mine at home Selfish cries I am diseased Let it pour out and show what has healed One can finally find what's left in this masochistic personality In a holy bond we live Take a breath for seconds in this moment Sail upon the open skies Exhale your death and feel life, like water raining from above Majestic aura Take in my breath and lock eyes with a world once absent of your love Majestic aura Blood is spent A token for my sacrifice The tortured realm has released my name I can feel my body parting with this world Rebirth is starting from within I'm born some place beyond your time Selfish cries Flaunt disease Own what's mine Death upon my knees Let it pour out and show what has healed One can finally find what's left inside this masochistic personality In a holy bond we live Take a breath for seconds in this moment Sail upon the open skies Floating up above the hadean seal Sounds of ambient voices will lead me from nowhere This skeletal mask brings a demon of the day

Keep writing what you think is good Misha! The fan backlash when they finally learned how musicians think about their music was ignorance. Note to fans - The best bands write for THEMSELVES and hope people like it. The bands that write for others, i.e. fans, producers, record labels, radio, etc. are doomed for short careers as interest in their genre fails and then begin to sound like everyone else.
