/ SKYLINE / LYRICS:
Cityscape skeletons taking shape and growing skin. Layer and layer is peeled away. Exhausted from the repetition of always needing to rebuild. Worn down faces in colorful barren places. City lights and skylines guiding home our wandering minds. Tucking us into tortoise shells, suppressing the outside sounds of relentless consciousness. Where is contemplative terrain that sleeps with the setting sun? This nocturnal apathy binging on shadow and smoke, endlessly coming undone. When the ground falls out, who will take my hand? When things fall apart, who will take my hand? I never thought that I could withstand falling short when I'm a broken man. You never knew how much I meant it in love. Every night I'm beside you weeks away when you're sleeping alone. Did you ever know how much I meant it? Millions of tiny pieces looking in on themselves, reflected in the water, unaware of each other. Every piece of the mirror could find its place back in the puzzle. What was one is shattered into many and longs to be whole again, but nothing ever fits quite the same in the end. I never thought that I could withstand falling short when I'm a broken man. You never knew how much I meant it in love. Every night I'm beside you weeks away when you're sleeping alone. Did you ever know how much I meant it? When the ground falls out, who will take my hand? When things fall apart, who will take my hand?

+appleipodtouch2g I agree, a new sound is refreshing. I just miss the lower tunings that they had on their other 3 albums. That and the production. But with a new vocalist and him having a different range calls for adjustments to their sound. I'm not necessarily a fan of either but I can picture "Drift" with their lower tunings and old production (which was a big part that got me hooked and why they're my favorite band) and underneath it all, they've still got it. Also, the up-tuning and what not is starting to grow on me, I just prefer their old sound

Ive always been a huge metalcore fan and love many bands that do clean vocals and growling. However, about 99% of the time I find myself saying "damn I wish this was heavier, or this was not as heavy" or "I wish they did more growling" or "more singing". Erra is the only band that is that perfect medium for me and they are my favorite band to date. These guys are 100% perfect for me. I thought Augment was absolutely incredible and I love this album just as much. Keep doing your thing guys!!

YES this album isn't as heavy as their older stuff BUT the talent is so there. The guitars are fucking insane, the addition of more cleans vocals was so well thought and done, the lyrics are not as abstract but still amazing.. The only thing I'd change about this album was to add one or two more heavy parts so it could have a bit more variety, but not loads of breakdowns, just a few. ERRA changed, matured, struturized their music and went with a more melodic, less heavy path but it so is 100% ERRA and even tho JT is no Garrison, it is the perfection addiction to their "new" sound.

Heard this song on a Metal power hour drinking game. Obsessed. 👍🏻

I'm obsessed with this song. Goes well with who I am. My cool yet sensitive unique nature. "Who will take my hand?" I'm always asking all these tender questions. And no one ever cares. Then I turn to screamo music.

The guy that does the screams sounds a lot like Ryo from Crystal Lake and the clean vocalist is the lead singer of Ghost Atlas. Win win.
