You're welcome! I believe this tray was 16 x 20, maybe larger - it was at my job and they have lots that are all different sizes. It's a photo processing tray and you can pick them up from B&H Photo, eBay or Amazon.

Thanks for posting. Would love to explore it in my work. Do you know if it is archival if used on 100% cotton rag, i.e. does the ink contain acids that will eventually destroy the paper? Is it sumi ink or something different? Do you know the ingredients?

I teach a class for blind crafters at out local Center for Vision Loss. I'm going to figure out how to adapt this craft and I think the yarn technique will help a lot. When you talked about your breath moving the water I thought maybe chanting something or saying a prayer might be interesting to see how that infuses spirit into the art. Thank you for doing this!

omg when you said you taught children as young as 4 years old my first thought was "wow they must've had amazing motor skills" and then you continued talking and explained you let them use yarn- brilliant! :D

From time to time, I make a point to spend some time investigating something in which I have no active interest, just for the sake of seeing what's there. This is often very rewarding. Tonight, the topic was marbling, and I wound up here. I am now completely fascinated and am going to go out and buy what I need to do this tomorrow as soon as the shops open. Well done.

Hi Everett - did the stamp pad ink work for you? Mine didn't, unfortunately. I am now using the German drawing ink called "Scribtol" by Pelikan, which works very nicely. It's only available in black, though.

hey did you use special ink or do you reckon any ink could work? id also like to try this for my graphics class but currently working from home and have limited and supplies, no special paper or ink
@neyas71374 жыл бұрын
Abbie Rayner hi!! I used a Japanese block ink, but my graphics teacher said I could use regular Indian ink as well. Also, newsprint is better to use if you have that because it’s more absorbant of the ink but printing paper is good too!- just be sure to rinse off any excess ink or it will run! :)
@abbierayner98084 жыл бұрын
@@neyas7137 omg thank you so much for the quick reply !! i haven't got any ink at the minute, going to ask around to see if there's any lying around the house and if not i will order some. i've never worked with ink so honestly don't know what either of those are but do you think calligraphy ink would work if i find some? if not i'll try and order the proper stuff :) and thank you, again not sure of the paper but it's quite thick i just took it from my classroom. i'm a first year so i don't know a lot aha thank you for the advice
