Wow, some fish and great preparation; take a tip from an old hand, dip the fish in flour before the egg and breadcrumbs, the egg will then stick better.Cheers.

Nice video!! Where do you cut the fish to bleed them? The reason I ask is that I cut the gills for more than 20 years until I worked as a deckhand on a commercial boat trolling for Kings 25 years ago. Cutting the gills works but even better is to cut the fish in the throat where all the gill rakes converge. Salmon will bleed much more when compared to cutting the gills themselves. We used to put them in a "kill tank" of circulating sea water. Next best is to spray the gills from back to front with the sea water washdown hose to keep the fish alive and the heart beating. We used to give large halibut a "little medicine" with a 38 revolver pistol.

@tjjanalaska8674
@tjjanalaska8674 6 жыл бұрын
E. Chris Hurtado Thanks man. Its the Penn squall. Yeah, I would but I would take a fathom over it. It depends on how many days on the water. The plastic clickers have to be replaced offen where as the stainless never have to be replaced and is made better overal. The squalls are better than the new penn 320 gts. If your on the water less than 30 days a year 320 gt is good. 30-90 days squall is good. 90 plus days fathom.
