I love you honest you are about your state of overwhelm. It’s just a huge part of growing and preserving food and I don’t think enough people talk about it.

I think that's just social media. Nobody wants to share anything negative, just their highlight reel. I don't like only sharing the highlights because it can make other people feel alone in their struggles. I'm super grateful, but it is a lot during this season, especially since I'm doing it all by myself. Thanks for watching, Cassie. ❤️

Thank you for sharing the reality of what home canning looks like. I always get to a point where I look around and feel like I am going to cry and that’s when I know I am half way done 😂 it truly is a labor of love but it’s one of those things that makes me feel capable.

I'm glad you enjoyed me sharing the reality! I try to be grateful, because I am, even in the thick of it! I'm definitely getting close to the "toss the tomatoes in the freezer to preserve in winter" stage. 😂😂

The reasons I shared in this video are part of the reason and the other part is because I was trying to fit into a space I didn't belong and being someone that I was not. I got caught up in the comparison game and it took me time to be okay with being myself. I'm a simple gal that enjoys the simpler things in life. I'll talk more about that in a future video. Thanks so much for your love and support throughout the years. ❤️
Thank you for your calming videos, Alyssa! Yes, growing your own food and preserving it is labor-intensive. However, it's SO satisfying, especially during those winter months when you can fetch a jar of broth or bag of frozen vegetables right from your own cupboard or freezer. You set such a wonderful example for your daughters and they're learning so much from you!

Thank you so much. There's no better feeling than grabbing food that I grew off the shelf in the winter. I try to remind myself of this often! 😂
