Tara - Huge Thank You, I put a lot into planning and drive Mark nuts with Discussions on ways to improve, I also change my mind to adapt to what the animals need so it is an in-depth thought process and I go to bed thinking of new ways, ideas, and future plans. I also do a new map of the yard every winter to see how best to utilize the space.(winter entertainment)

What a great place you have. Where are you? Do you sell the turkey eggs? I've been researching turkeys over this winter, you're the first I saw that petted the turkey. Thank so much. Well, found out you're in Canada. Won't be getting there anytime soon.
@The10AcreWoods

Yes, we are in the Province of Manitoba in Canada. We lost a turkey that nested outside the fenced in area last spring and will be collecting eggs to put under some of our broody chicken hens this spring as our female turkey hasn't been sitting. Thanks for watching and good luck in your search for eggs.

Making our own feed from grains helps keep our cost down. Goat Yoga classes are a great fundraiser and help put hay in the barn not to mention the pride we feel when we see everyone so happy to visit. We actually have 9.91 acres to be exact. Thanks for watching Ashlie.

How much grazing room would be needed for a small horse like thunder?
@The10AcreWoods
@The10AcreWoods 7 жыл бұрын
You need to be careful with ponies as they can over eat. If it's a miniature horse, then two acres of good quality grass should work. If you are feeding hay, ask for a good quality "Horse Hay" that is leafy and feed around one flake a day and monitor the progress.

One was a rescue and the brown one, Big Joe was for my daughter to ride. She did not bond with Joe so we found him a good home on a farm where he is pulling carts and the wife rides him, he is a great multipurpose horse. We also found the black horse "Storm" a great home as well, they are both beautiful horses but they need purpose and they now have that on these farms. We still take in horses in need from time to time but at this moment we don't have any horses.
