Hello watching from the UK, came across your channel a couple of weeks ago and have been binge watching all your videos to learn everything. I have a 50 acre farmland in Ghana my home country and was thinking of selling it, but you have got me convinced I can farm it as a novice city academic with unrealistic aspirations of farming one day, hopefully I can take my kids with and have a great relationship with them on the farm as you have with your family. So I am going home in October to design the farm based on your farm and start farming next year. Thanks for your inspiration and making everything look so clear and easy to understand, you have a subscriber for life.

Well winter is on it's way and it gets dark at around 4:30 PM ;) The quality of the video drops when it's darker out so I try to get things done in better light :)

Hello my name is Deb. I've commented on several of your videos as I have been bench watching you since I found you a couple weeks ago. I love you set up I love the big open area in your barn where all the animals can be together kind of like it was on Christmas Eve. I never knew that they could get along so well. Did you have to do much work with them in order for them to be able to be released with your other animals and from what I have seen they all get along pretty well I love that hopefully next October we're moving out to our many Farm and this is what I want to do you've inspired me so much over the past couple weeks. I hope to learn more from you and hope that you have a very prosperous Channel. Reaching people and building a community based on the same likenesses. Another great video thank you take care and God bless Deb

Thanks Deb, no we didn't do much work putting them together. When introducing new members to the yard its always a good idea to keep an eye on them until they settle in. Thanks for watching 👍

Mark and Tara, how often do you feed the animals? We love the layout of your animal housing and yards. Fernando is comical. You are giving us a lot of ideas on housing, feeding, and general caring for animals. Thanks for sharing, Carl and Dawn Homestead

How often does the vet call? What about pests and mites? Have you had any outbreaks?
@The10AcreWoods6 жыл бұрын
We will contact the vet when needed and is not very often. The only outbreak we have had is a couple instances of mites and they have been successfully quarantined and treated.
@The10AcreWoods6 жыл бұрын
Tara here - you also learn from experience so pay attention and be hands on so next time you can handle yourself. Surgeries we call a vet, but all others can be handled over the phone or research, along with experience. Outbreaks are kept at bay with a healthy, large, and clean yard. Along with rituals pumpkin smashing and christmas tree drop off builds yard immunity. Healthy all natural diet also helps.

I noticed the rabbits in the cages don’t have any hay, that’s too bad they should have an unlimited supply of hay since it’s their staple diet.
@The10AcreWoods6 жыл бұрын
They all have hay, the large cage has a hay bale in the middle and the cages both have alfalfa pellets(hay pellets) more concentrated than hay, they will also have raw Hay in their cages every day. They also need wood and rocks in their pens to file their teeth, but you can not see them in the video either. Thx for the questions, I always forget about the wood and rock thing

What happened to Drake, the Muscovy duck that used to be in most of yours videos? Haven’t seen or heard about him in a while. He seemed like the friendliest duck in the world.

I guess he must be camera shy, lol. He was out in the new shelter today when we had Open Farm today. He will likely be in next weeks video 👍
