Amazing video man. I have enjoyed all of these, but this was my favorite by far. I have no problem buying an expensive knife (and plan to check your knives out) but 100 knives have a special place in my heart. Love the no worry feeling of um. Appreciate the work

I agree with your list....great video for a person on a budget. I owned a lot of those knives when I was younger and still own 1 or 2 of them....they stay in drawers these days because of sentimental reasons. I will always carry a Mora when carrying a larger knife or Axe to this day. The cold steel bush man is in one of my get home bags right now ! Thank you for the video---this has been a really good series.

Enjoyed watching the summer series, long as your having fun that's all that matters, if you teach something to someone along the way, it's a bonus. Ignore the trolls, comment sections are the armpits of the internet! Great knives are pricey but are investment and even something to hand down to next generation. Keep up the good work bro!

When I was stationed in Germany in the Army, I ALWAYS carried my KABAR, all the time. My Scout plt. guys talked me into buying a Glock Knife.I got it for about 50 German Deutsche Marks in Friedberg Germany (Ray barracks) Its a skinny 'stabber' I call it in a Kydex type sheath.... . Well I bought it and the first time we went on a Reforger Exercise, Out in the field I threw it a tree messing around and the damn blade snapped right into TWO pieces. Hahahha ...exit stage LEFT and BACK to my Kabar!! Good Video Thanks :) "Scouts OUT!"

Bk9 is my pick here, im using that tool for anything and is always in my pack, awesome blade, second will be the usmc kabar, for memories, it was my first blade when i was in service, and followed me all around the world, i lost it in Africa and kind of miss it a lot, might buy a new one, but without the memories i had with. Who dare wins.

I carry the Cold Steel Bushman as a backup blade in the pack. They are very light, very tough, and carbon steel. By the way handle is not hollowed out it is flat steel rolled and welded. Really like that Ontario Bowie you showed. and I like Ontario 1095 carbon steel and heat treatment.

I’ve had 3/4 of the knives on that table, and when you said “the mora is a belt knife, it’s not really up to the task” I actually laughed out loud. Most of the blades on that table are a joke compared to the mora. 4 years of Army tasks and dumb shit, same mora since day 1. Legitimately broke every other one of those I’ve had from that table.

My only thing is that what else can a bigger knife do that a smaller one can't besides chop? I mean I can pretty much do anything a 9 inch blade can do with a 5 inch blade and even more besides chop. I may be wrong and that's why I'm asking, what should I get a big knife for besides chopping bc I can get a hatchet that will chop a lot better than any knife unless its cutting brush in the forest lol

I was also always skeptic about Mora knives because of them not being full tang but since I used them along with other knives I have to say that they are one of the strongest knives out there. My Mora Heavy Duty could take way more than for example a 5mm thick Schrade. I suppose their heat treat is just on point (at least on the carbon steel ones, haven't tested the stainless steel models). And at that price you can keep one in the car, bugout bag etc.

Well, it looks like we’ve got a lot in common with our life’s history. I’ve also got well over a hundred knifes I’ve collected down through the years. Good video on the subject. I try not to spend over a hundred bucks on a knife, because it never fails, I’ll loose it, lol ! I never loose the cheap ones, lol ! The 119 buck I’ve had for almost 40 years for hunting, and I started carrying the gerbers maybe 10 or so years ago, as my multipurpose go to knife ! My machete on the other hand has been passed down in the family for over a hundred years. It’s a corn knife, for corn stalks, or sugar cane. It’s, I’m guessing around 30 inches or so, but it puts all other designs to shame as far as chopping goes. I never carry a hatchet, but a lite axe instead. Hatchets just don’t have enough power to a chop, and you run the risk of missing, and slamming your fingers, which kinda screws up the rest of your day ! Good luck on your business !

Regarding the SRK it has a lock on the sheath you need to give that knife a manly shove and it will lock in believe ME I kid you not that rubber finger guard will drop down past the plastic then you know your home, but jam it in it wont break. HAPPY TRAILS .

I appreciate the information in this vid. Lots of nice knives for sure. I personally will not pay more than 50 bucks for any type of knife. Not that I can't afford a few expensive ones, its just that I don't feel its necessary with all the great blades you can score for under 50. That OKC Marine Raider in your vid is a perfect example. Another is the Cold Steel SRK. Not in your vid, but the Schrade SCHF52 Frontier in 1095 is a beast that can do anything the expensive boys can...and today's Amazon price is 30 bucks! As far as the Mora's, I just don't get their popularity. They are fugly as hell, and they are not full tang as you pointed out. Its cool that you make your own blades, and there will always be a niche for high-end custom knives. Good luck.

I don't agree with you regarding the Buck 119. I use a 119 strictly for wood work (I am not a hunter) and it has never chipped or rolled the edge. The 420 HC is a tough steel, and with a factory edge bevel of 15 degrees each side it is very sharp, and easy to resharpen in the field. I do agree with you about the other knives' attributes. You have a really nice, diversified collection. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Say Heah, as you, I love knives too. Yup, I like deals, I also totally agree making combo's with my knives. Infact two come to mind, both I bought at intro prices. I bought a Black Bokor Vox Rold, knowing that D2 was a hard steel and prolly a little brittle so I sort of undertook that when I bought it. Infact the sheath was so loose on my Vox Rold that I actually was injured big time because the knife flew out and straight into my foot. So I put a Nylon Belt Loop on it, but the handle strap was too loose so I slipped my Mora Classic #1 on the handle strap and it's all good. Infact I like teaming this lite set with a Hatchet and a Folding Saw. I strictly use the knives to work wood with. Then I bought a Bokor Aparro, I like the way this Hollow Handle Knife is pit together, it's very strong for a Hollow Handle Survival Knife, Yup, I team it with my Mora Garberg also in a Leather Sheath. A lovely piece of kit but very functional, Infact I batoned my Bokor Aparro and it's still as solid as tge day I bought it. Infact I enjoy using this set-up in snowy and wet conditions. I have the luxury of a large knife and a small knife, plus a Hatchet and Saw. Nice, Nice, Nice. Oh, I paid $100.00 a piece for both them, and Yup, I would buy them again. I also bought my Cold Steel SISU as a closeout from C. S. It's a Beauty. Alot of negative reviews mainly the cost which I got at a great price. But after using it in Traditional Trio's. I compare the edge retention of the VG-1 San Mai 3 as good as that of some of my O1's steel blades. Yeah, just because I can't afford a Bugatti, it's still a spectacular car, I really believe the guys that knock it can't afford it so they beeeech, beeeech, beeeech. IMHO It's a great knife. Yup, I bought mine for a $100.00 years ago. Outstanding Knife. Infact I just put a Casstrom Dangler Extention Caribiner on the Sheath and I love teaming it with my 2Hawks Double Bit Hatchet, plus my Wicked Tough Saw. A lovely piece of kit, Trio. Oh, I also like adding my C. S Ultimate Hunter. No I'm not plugging Cold Steel. But these two Knives really Rick !!!. You did great, I really enjoyed this video.,,. p

Yeah, you're right about the Mora Bushcrafter. $35 more for a Ferro Rod and a Stone? Bite me. Anyway, nice selection. But to all the Trolls out there, I will say this: his Knife Prices are running about $100 TOO LOW. A One Man Shop so close to NYC with that Areas Taxes and Utilities and Material Costs? PLUS he does his own Kydex? Give me a F:&king Break! Everyone like LT Wright? How about Bark River? People, they're made in Rural Ohio and Michigan! Look, if I had the Bucks, I'd be placing an Order or Two. And his Blades would be on my Belt if SHTF. Anyway Marine, Carry On the Good Work. Might have a little Discussion about what Three Blades to carry when we get to that Video. Til Then, Take Care.
