This season was started “in media res” ie mid action, to move past the “bit” of the night Yorb Npc’s that the characters “would have met” are introduced as such etc. But there was no actual summer break season or missing episodes. Just the illusion of it.

Dunno if the Dimension20 or Dropout folks will see this, but if I can give a quick opinion on the "before the paywall" content for Fantasy High Junior Year-- Don't just upload episode 1. I know, it's what's normally done for all the other series. You show the first episode, and folks can decide if they want to pay to see the rest. For all the other series, I think that works well. The season openers are bangers. This season, however, kicks off in medias res-- fastforwarding through a non-existent Night Yorb campaign, with a fight that spans well into episode 2 before really setting the tone for Junior Year. I know it hasn't been done. I know you have to think about the paywall to make sure folks actually get paid for their hard work, but I really think if you want to hook folks on Junior Year, you've got to give them episodes 1 & 2 before putting the rest of the season behind the paywall.

Dimension 20 has always been one of the best story telling & improv shows. I adore the genuine Goonie dynamic this family of friends has. Each new season is so good. Always be thankful for The Bad Kids in your life. I would love to eventually see a season where you all play in one of the superhero ttrpg (I fill like this table of players in a comic book setting would be some kind of mix between The Mystery Men and Hellboy).

@@MagmaRiver I was simultaneously making a joke about the unspoken manta terror of darkness this episode is about. It was a layered one, gotta peel it back a little. If there's any point of contention they should've added some type of message for the people who have actually witnessed what Aguefort did in the first episode IRL and then set some verbal boundaries on what their session zeros were like for us. For those who actually do have triggering traumas, it's far too late: they're already triggered and not watching this content. Otherwise, this was just a quip about them actually acting on their claims of representation rather than just merely roleplaying them. It's easy to pretend to be an autistic character for views: it takes a lot more work, that Brennan did, to research what that person's experience would be like and give them genuine representation while also making them a likable character, as Ayda is.
