Can also play the second chord (F#m7) without playing the barre chord - left hand 1st finger on 9th fret on A string, 2nd finger on 9th fret G and 3rd finger on 10th fret D string (D9G9B10). Could also play without bass note (D11G9B10). Then, do not play the hammer on part (9h12p9) in barre chord position. dont be so hard on urself!! this song is more difficult since it uses barre chords so I would suggest practicing some regular chords so ur hands are used to playing chords. I see this comment is from 3 months ago so I hope your little bit more advanced by now, goodluck😄

He knows he can just use a capo on the 7th feet to make the song a lot easier right

I never use a capo and wouldn't make a vid with one because a lot of people don't have one with them every time they play (or even have one at all) and I wouldn't want to rely on one. Also, for the percussive style, putting a capo on the Bm7 doesn't work as well because the strings ring out. It would help with some of the barre chords though, especially for beginners. Even without a capo, playing the Em7 chord with just 3 stings - E0G7B8 - helps.
