I was just about to ask. My daughter has disability. And I just need to stay strong for her in a whole different way. I have limited time. I can't think for myself at times and need to make sure I can follow something I will gain from.

I used to have a body like this and be able to do these moves, though it was from doing yoga and pilates not calisthenics. Now, 20 years later, 3 pregnancies, a back injury and carrying an extra 70lbs of weight i want to get back to it. I will get it back!

of course you can. You did before so now it is easier it is reminding the body then it will do everything so start

Yes you will, your body definitely remembers the muscle memory is real, you will get back in no time, stay away from doubtful thoughts

Similar here, keto/carnivore made the whole difference. You didn't gain 70 lbs out of the blue, modern food is poisoning us. Do some research, do a slow transition and try it for a month, it will be so much easier to get fit again👍😊

I feel like everyone talks about aesthetic insecurities, but never mention mobility insecurity too. In an emergency situation, will I be able to pull myself up? Hell, can I even lift my body weight? There’s so many more useful reasons to train for calisthenics
@morozyvo236 ай бұрын
For sure! Especially with age I started feeling necessity of exercising even just for functioning normally.

Something like this happened to me recently. I was cleaning and dropped something behind my washing machine. So i had to crawl on it and reach back behind. When I reached for it i had to hang down a little. Everything was fine until i slipped and almost fell on top of my head. I wouldve been stuck like that for 6 hours since my husband was at work. Terrifying to think retrieving furniture polish could end up killing me had i not caught myself.

Great information. I appreciate the detail. I trained athletes for decades as a martial artist and eventually a grand master. I competed for 27 years and messed my body up pretty bad. New hips rebuilt shoulders and such. I even coached a few people who trued out for the Tae Kwon do Olympic team. Thankful for what I was able to do. This information makes me want to move more and build my body back up to past where it used to be. I am 65 now so this will quite an endeavor. Again, well done and thank you.

Love this video, I’ve been weight training for over a month now, & been adding Pilates and yoga in there also. Calisthenics is something to definitely add in your routine. Im also working on getting my splits both sides and straddle, but I’ve been searching/experimenting so many videos sometimes it gets overwhelming on what’s best to do for that. It would be pleasing to make a video on that? Edit: Suddenly goes back to the video to see that it was 4 years ago 😅

Great video thank you very much I am 72 yr and trying to get back in to shape, a couple of months ago I was in the hospital and then took about a month to get back to feeling sum what good. I could not do 1 pull up and only 1 dip and 8 push ups, I started weight training with free weights and a cable machine, to day i did pull ups 6 , 7, and 4 ; dips 11,11 and 10 ; So weight training dose help, but my goal is to do 20 pullups 20 dips and 60 pushups. I like full body work outs but needed the weight training to get me motivated as I could progress a little quicker in it. I will be doing bough, but when I work out with weights I use full movement of the mussels I am working. Again great video keep me going thank you. My first set of push ups was 20 doing my work out while watching this video at 72 need a little more rest between sets.
