Back to Stealing Athena Chests - Sea of Thieves

The ending to this saga: That last guy was ultimately a friend that joined the Athena crew at the very end once the carnage was already done. After the video sadly cuts out, this player goes on to crack a few jokes with Summit, tells him that his friends raged quit and that he thought it was hilarious. He hops down from the crow's nest, takes a few bananas from Summit's hand and accepts Summit's plea to a duel. After losing, he asks Summit if he can join his crew. Summit declines, hops into the end of a cannon and shoots himself off into the distance. While in midair, he glances behind him at the wide-eyed sole survivor and screams, "WEINER RAIDERS FOR LIFE!" before splashing into the ocean one last time. He finally takes a mermaid and meets up with Smokey. With his new-stolen loot, Summit is then seen with a huge grin on his face, his character pointing confidently at the Chest of Legends while playing 'Come Sail Away" by Styx for his 40K viewers as his sloop peacefully sails off into the sunset.

After they put an athena in the Fort of the Damned, sneaky athena steals and the title it brought became worthless. Also with all these new reputation and the increase of loot on the seas, the pirate legend title has become less valued. For these two reasons I suggest Rare ought to make a new title when you complete _all_ the reputation; fishing, athena, reaper and arena included. And this will give you a mega-quest even more boring and grinding than the athena run, and it should give a super good skull or other loot in the end, that needs to be stolen x number of times for a specific title. Yes, this sounds very much like an extension of what the game already is doing, just even more grindier, but that's the point. We all miss doing athena steals and sneaking on boats, but, it's just not the same anymore. Athenas are not rare anymore. We need some skull or chest or crate almost equivalent to the shrouded ghost or the box of wonderous secrets. We need something so grindy and so dumb, pvp-lords would never do it and just drool after stealing it. Also just trading athena chests with someone in your alliance weakens the Legendary Thief title, but, this new quest would be so rare you wouldn't really run into other people doing it, and so valued you wouldn't want to risk trading it with randoms. So there needs to be some extra value to it beyond just gold, I'm thinking maybe ancient coins. Give back to the people who're willing to grind this game for hours every day.

Like, I remember my first athena steal. I was hiding behind the table of a brig for half an hour, and they put the chest two meters away from me. My friend started following them with our brig(our third friend had left) and they got so busy looking at my friend with a spyglass I could just take the athena and jump out, with all three of them standing on the back of their ship staring at our ship(which was still far away at this point). I jumped off and got away with hit, my heart rate prob going like 160. It was so glorious. And best part was we were in an alliance with them so when we sold the chest, they knew what had gone down. It's memories like these which makes this game so good, something rare to stretch after for the pve'ers becomes something even rarer to stretch after for the pvp'ers. It gives meaning and purpose to the game. So we need a new super-rare loot item.
