​@@ericgamble9153 Walt Kelly was a big environmentalist in the 1970s and Pogo was the mascot for the first Earth Day, along with that phrase 'We have met the enemy and he is us." If you Google Image search that phrase you will see the poster it was used on and the comic strip for it. I would guess there were a lot more signs like that to remind people not to pollute, but somehow that one has survived over 50 years. 😎
