I feel like this song is always forgotten. It's the song that sets the entire musical and makes me emotional every time I listen to it. The simplicity of their love, compared with the sun and the moon is so powerful. When they say 'and we meet in the sky", it sounds so naive out of context but fits so perfectly in the story, because they are naive and so lost in life. They only have enough to know that their love is as remarkable as the sun and moon's limited encounter in the sky. If you watch the entire show, you'll realise that the theme of sun and moon is everywhere. It's truly an amazing song. Boublil and Schönberg are an incredibly genius duo. Sun and Moon is definitely the best song in the show and by far my favourite song in the world because it's the only which has genuinely got me to the core.

Literally the cutest moment I’ve ever seen in a musical- Chris: how would you like- Kim: how would I like?! (Excited) Chris: *laughing so freakin excited* How would you like living with me? Man, it’s not just these lines but the way that he can’t stop holding her to make sure she doesn’t leave him, the way he seems shocked when she responds so quickly before he even fully knows what he’s asking because he’s so suddenly in love he hasn’t even thought about it yet. Please! It's obvious she had the hots for him, and vice-versa, but they were both taken at the time. They first did _Miss Saigon_ together on Broadway in 1999. Then Lea requested Will for this run in Manila, Philippines (her homeland), which took place from October to December 2000. Then they flew back to New York to do the last month of _Miss Saigon_ on Broadway, which closed in late January 2001 after nearly a decade.

Will Chase played an American GI Chris, superbly, Again with so much passion as a Marine so in love. Theyre was genuine chemistry between him and his Kim, and his voice was great and sang with conviction, matching Lea's really well, Beautiful and harmonious. I liked it when he really kissed her, it showed the true depth of their love. His acting was fantastic and you felt what he was feeling, and I loved his curley red hair, that was an extra bonus for him. A true love story very similar to another Tragic Musical, Madam Butterfly. But in reality, this is what did happen to so many young girls in the countries where there were GI's. Why are some men so weak and fickle in their emotions that they're never willing to fight for what they really wanted and loved. They were just so ready to give up and live secret lives of guilt never thinking of the repercussions and emotional devastation of their actions and the havoc they left behind. I suppose, as they say, it's one Price of War. So Sad.

Edit: I love Lea and I've been watching her musical clips and when i saw this one, i was smiling the whole time with how beautifully both she and Will executed it. Then i saw the whole musical and going back to this moving scene, I'm smiling sadly. This moment was a total eclipse. Sun and moon, relatively in our sky, only meet when one is leaving, much like them. Chris needs to leave when saigon was falling apart. When they met again, Kim was running out of time. They are indeed sun and moon, they cannot be together for long. But they do have that eclipse where they held each other tight and everything was perfect.

Best Kim and Chris ever!🌟 their height difference is everything😍🥰 this rendition is intimate, sexy and so moving, you never want it to end❤️

I've seen versions of this scene with Simon Bowman and it is NOT like this. Simon usually glances elsewhere while Will looks at Lea like he is really in love with her and never breaks that gaze like he is really in awe of her. I think Lea and Will's version will always be the best. All of their scenes feel so damn real.

I just watched the 25th Anniversary performance yesterday and I'm back here. I'm crying because the story is so pure. The only safe haven on this story is this scene. My emotions are taking over. I'd better go.

The set of the 25th anniversary is so good. But they have no chemistry. Just a lot of kissing.

I love all of lea’s high notes bc how can I not but how she executes the low notes gives me legit shivers and goosebumps every single time

the sad part is i will never see Lea doing Kim live. First I wasn't born when the play was made and second I'm only 16 years old so-

This is my favorite version of Sun and Moon. Their romantic love for each other looks natural. Everything in this is so natural

This makes me cry. It reminds me of the love I have for my Filipino gf. I would not be able to leave either. I'm completely in love with her.

How I wish I was already alive back then just to witness how Lea Salonga performed this masterpiece.

"How in one night have we come so far?" is so romantic here. But it's also the very last line of the music taking a completely different tone. When you watch this clip knowing the ending, it makes you really sad.

As one commenter said, Miss Saigon was written for "the" Lea Salonga. 😍🥰 She was destined to be Kim and become the standard for that role.

Aww I love the excitement and passion! His Chris seems to be more like a young boy rather than a protector and I like it that way.. Plus they make a cute couple :D

The best scene I have ever seen in any musical. It's so real and it's like the audience isn't even there. Just the two of them in love. Lea is fantastic but so is the guy, whoever he is. He really looks like a real soldier

My first time watching this and I haven't watched the whole Ms. Saigon movie yet. Wow, what a perfect performance! As others have said, it feels like we are intruding on a personal scene. I was a bit embarrassed to be watching even though it's acting. I have to find tjr Miss Saigon movie to watch. These two are amazing together.

Though I love the music of the remake, and Eva and allistar do an great job, I like how sweet this one is. I feel like his Chris (though acting interpretation I know is a thing ) is more angry and frustrated, will’s is more loving and expressive but broken and needing something good. But both are great, I really love this one tho a lot
