Jiminy Cricket has the developer's X-Blade. To unlock his boss fight, you have to beat all 3 KH games in a row on Critical Mode without taking damage. Then head back to the Terra boss fight area, and you'll find Jiminy Cricket ready to send you right back to the start. If you die, you lose all progress and have to fulfill all requirements again.

Yeah, it’s notably the first major roadblock for a lot of kids. The issue with the ranking is that he’s ranking them as a hardens veteran who’s been playing these games for years and has done so several times. It doesn’t reflect the average newbie doing these for the first time, nor the little kids in 2002 who got the cool game with Mickey Mouse in it.

I’m 16 and picked up KH 1.5+2.5 last year, and still hasn’t finished my first playthrough of 2 (got sidetracked with persona 4), and stealth sneak was still a decent road block for me my first time playing. IDK I just don’t think it’s fair to judge a boss based on difficulty when you’re a super experienced player is all.

For the Lock, Shock and Barrel boss fight in Halloweentown, I’m fairly sure that you can only get the highest amount of EXP for the fight if you beat Lock first, then Shock, then lastly Barrel. Otherwise, their EXP is reduced by 10%. Just a little heads up for folks in case you care about EXP.

Idk if it was changed in FM, but in vanilla KH1, the Behemoth is vulnerable to gravity, making it laughably easy to drop him to green HP by spamming it then move in to finish him. And I can confirm lock-on remains on that jaguar in vanilla. At least it did on mine.

To this day I still have nightmares about that Riku fight. I was stuck there, at about 9 years old, for like 3 months. I dont know I just could not beat it, I had to sit through that damn unskippable cutscene over and over and over. I was going insane. “Kairi… Karis inside me” OH MY GOD SORA SHUT THE HELL UP AND FIGHT! It also didn’t help that at the time I had absolutely no clue you could switch out Keyblades, so for 3 months I was using nothing but the Kingdom Key to fight him. Funnily enough I found out Keyblades could be switched out because he had once again beat me and I got so frustrated I started mashing all the buttons on my controller and I somehow managed to get to the Keyblade selection screen. Changed my entire world. And that… THAT was how I finally beat him lmfao. The Keyblade I used was the Oblivion and to this day, the Oblivion is my all time favorite key cuz it helped me beat that bastard after 3 months. When I finally beat it my Mom rushed in my room with immediate concern because I was screaming like an overjoyed mad man.

Mr.ThePercySimmons I was on proud mode with my final mix version of the game,not even level 80 or even having Ultima Weapon yet and I beat Unknown just in 2 tries (both were my first times even fighting him) and the only reason I didn't beat him the 1st time is because I didn't know his patterns or ultimate and while I'm not judging you for putting him so high I'm just saying that for me he would not nearly be as high up

I found Phantom to be pretty easy, just really tedious. Take Goofy and Pan as your partners. Take off every single one of their abilities that use MP, except for Goofy's MP Gift. Give the two Ethers, while saving Elixirs for yourself. To dodge his homing attack, just fly around the corner of the clock tower before he fires it, and the bullet should crash into the tower. I usually map Firaga, Blizzaga and Stopra for quick use. I use Stopra every two homing attacks from Phantom. Not sure how the MP Gift strategy would work in the Final Mix,1.5, but it did work for me in the original. I want to say that thanks to this strategy you won't have a bad time with him anymore, but Phantom's pretty boring regardless of how efficient you are at taking him down. Hope this will ease the pain at least a bit the next time you take him on. A lot of those bosses are much worse on Proud. Things like Giant Ursula and Clayton would be much higher on the list if that was taken into the consideration. I agree that Cerberus is tough, regardless of the difficulty. Overall, a pretty cool video, even though I didn't agree a lot with it, too much Proud Mode playthoughs to take your "it does no damage" comments seriously. I'll sub just to know when a vid for KH2 comes out.

I remember if you speak to king triton before heading off to battle Ursula, he tells you to use magic 😂 I fought heaps of heartless to build up my magic double so I would have plenty to use and wouldn’t have to rely on elixirs constantly

The thing about the Defenders that Maleficent summons is that they actually wound up screwing her in that I kept smacking their shields with repetitive retaliating slashes while the bitch was well within the hit box. I think I chewed through about 3 bars of health in 5 seconds.

I learned this in my proud difficulty playthrough but in the final Riku fight, when does his ultimate, if you go towards the back of the arena (where the entrance to the hall is) you can literally avoid his entire ultimate if you just jump over his initial charge

Well, the move is just referred to as "Heartless Angel" but yeah, he does shout "Descend, Heartless Angel" The comma is important, because the pause between him saying "Descend" and "Heartless" is just long enough to make me want to rip the rest of the incantation right out of his mouth, but short enough that it doesn't seem like anyone else notices.

I think he purposely didn't include it because it wasn't in the original game and rather was only added into the final mix. But I would've like to know where it'd fit. Personally I didn't find it that hard. Granted I was like level 80 but except for one point where he put my health to 1, it seemed easy and I did it on my first try. But sephiroth I have yet to beat in kh1. I got close a few times just because of my high level and also having ultima weapon but it still wasn't enough. I'm just not that great and predicting moves and blocking at the right time.

The easiest way to fight this dude is to have max aeroga, curaga, and that ability that lets you gain mana every time you are hit. Spam Aeroga, you will have plenty of freaking mana for strike raid, dodge and occasionally hit him. Rinse and repeat this process and Sephiroth becomes an exp grinder for you lol. I ended up using him to level my character up, took many many fights to get to 100 but its do-able

When I first played Kingdom Hearts 1, I found a way to cheat on the Cerberus fight. When his stands still and tries to bite you, you can go jump up his back leg who is a position that you can jump up to and then from there jump up on his back. You can stay there and just use magical attacks until he dies, he can't attack you when you are there. Just sit back and wait til your MP is up again to attack him. It works so well that I once as a kid that I was AFK for 20 minutes and he had not hurt me a single bit. So getting on his back really makes all his attack worthless

Well it's not the voice for me, it's more of the fact that they over-emphasize on Kingdom Hearts. There are fans of the game, and there are the paparazzi's who fucking breathe in the game. GamersJoint and SkywardWing are the paparazzi, and it's so cringy to the point where I'm like "It's just a game, seriously."

earthygoku The only good thing about him is that he isn't overally obsessive like GamersJoint. But obviously we cant ignore his pointless top "kh blah blah" videos along with his mashup of Steven Universe and KH (at least he doesn't monetize those videos). His content is also dry/stale, and sometimes pretty cringy. Overall, I just dont like his content.

Leaf bracer completely breaks the Ice Titan fight. With a few ice resistance items, all I had to do after the first couple of attack phases was just spam guard and then curaga after getting hit and let double mp rage keep me alive.
