They really worked a treat on Lewis last August, definitely one of my favourite loch flies. Cheers for keeping us occupied Dave. Stay safe ATB Chris

I really appreciate your site. Clear and direct and very well done. Is that a Dynamic-King vise? What kind - the jaws are familiar. I’m trying to teach a friend and suggest h always smash the barbs 1st ...thoughts (if not using an Un-barbed hook).

Dyna-King yes, you can smash the barbed with the vice just turn the hook side ways and clamp, or just use babrless hooks its your choice :)
