Diabetes fasting sugar levels markers were decreased from start of senior study to now. That accounts for increased numbers.

I am 80 years old, 5 feet 3 inches tall and 126 lbs. Every 6 months l take my blood test. My doctor said l do not have diabetes.I never drink any soft drink or soda. My snack are fruits.

Type 2 diabetics reverse their conditions when they go on keto or carnivore diet. Those who are obese diabetics also lose weight, their blood pressure becomes normal and symptoms from autoimmune conditions they have go away. Meat and saturated fat are good for the human body. the healthiest people are those who do not eat grains or seeds or nuts or legumes or leaves or any plants which are high in anti nutrients, carcinogenic toxins, oxalates and lectins. More and more doctors and other health professionals are becoming aware and learning from research that red fatty meat, especially from grass fed ruminants, is the healthiest anyone can eat and thrive on. All meats from ruminant animals which are not fed grains or soy are extremely healthy for the human body and the healthiest people are those who are lean with good muscle mass from eating healthy meat and who have higher LDL than the numbers invented by Big Pharma after it invented statins. Big Pharma artificially lowered the then normal numbers for LDL so that doctors would prescribe statins to more people. Those with the lowest LDL are the most likely to get heart disease and stroke and die younger than those who are healthy and have highter LDL. Doctors and other people have been fed lies about cholesterol and saturated fat and no wonder that every other person alive can expect to get cancer and diseases, including coronary heart disease, which have become common since the artificial modern diet was forcefully introduced, were unheard of before then.

I stooped in the middle, with the fat explanation. It is carbs, what make diabetes. I eat fat now and I cut carbs, and my glucose is fine now. Many seniors now do not have a enough money to buy healthy food and they are eating too much carbs - it is cheaper. That's big problem!

Sorry girl, I have to say that you are ignorant of human metabolism. Fat that we eat do NOT become fat in your body. Carbs generate high insulin levels that increase body fat.
