Back when I was much younger, a runner and a gym rat. Many long range hikes and wilderness hunts with archery. For years I carried a S&W 629 classic in .44 mag. And never thought much about it. A shoulder holster would have been nice. I had a Galco belt holster and used a military web belt so I could hang a canteen too. Couple of speed loaders and 12 loose in a baggie and I was good to go. Many miles of off trail mountain visits many times topping out above treeline with this rig.

Thank you Hickock45, Your timely wisdom about who you hang around can determine what your future will hold was dead-on. How many lives have been ruined by the company they keep? The citation of Tennyson's quote in the poem Ulysses, "I am a part of all I have met", reminds me of a verse in the Bible, the book of Proverbs 13:20. The one walking with the wise will become wise, But the one who had dealings with the stupid will fare badly. By taking that advice to heart, instead of a life of misery, a person's life may be forever changed for the good. Then one may exclaim with delight, "LIFE IS GOOD..." I Wish You Well,
